Celebrate Earth Week April 20 - April 23 at EvCC! 

Join in EvCC's fifth annual Earth Week Celebration and series of events including a visit from Ciscoe Morris (Gardening with Ciscoe), EvCC and Snohomish County Prescription Drug Take Back event, Free electronics recycling and compete for terrific prizes by joining the EvCC Earth Week Eco Cache competition!

EvCC Earth Week Schedule of Events

April 20-23

EvCC Geo Cache Competition - Learn about all of EvCC's sustainable programs and projects while competing for valuable prizes in this year's Eco Cache. Contestants will try to be the first to find EvCC Sustainability facts  hidden in places on campus that house or benefit  current EvCC sustainability projects and programs. Winning contestants will follow up their find with a post to social media and a photo of the project or program.   Details and hints here. 

Monday, April 20

  • 8AM EvCC Eco Cache begins!  Get out and find those sustainability facts!  Be the first to post your find to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #evccearthweek to win valuable prizes!  Contest runs until all hidden facts are found or Thursday, April 23rd at 4pm.
  • 10am-2pm, Whitehorse Hall 2nd Floor Critique Space  Earth Week Plant Swap and (NEW!) Sale,   Bring plants to trade, take free plants and/or purchase window box succulents and herbs.  All proceeds benefit the EvCC plant swap.

  • 8AM EvCC Eco Cache Competition Continues

Wednesday, April 22 EARTH DAY!

  • 8AM EvCC Eco Cache Competition Continues
  • 10AM-2PM, Liberty Hall First Floor Entry/Lounge,  EvCC/Snohomish County Prescription Drug Take Back Event.   Keep prescription chemicals and drugs from harming the environment by bringing expired or unwanted prescription pharmaceuticals for free disposal. Details here.
  • 10AM-2PM, Lot "F", (outside). Home and Office Electronics Recycling Event.  3-R Recycling provides free electronic recycling of computers, printers, cell phones and other electronics at EvCC.  Click here for accepted items.
  • Noon-1pm, Whitehorse Hall 2nd Floor Critique Space, Ciscoe Morris (Gardening with Ciscoe) Speaks on Gardening.  Long a favorite of North West gardeners, Ciscoe Morris is a master gardener with a lot of style!  Join EvCC in welcoming Ciscoe as he speaks on North West gardening.  Q and A after.  Free.

Thursday, April 23

  • 8 AM-4PM EvCC Eco Cache Competion 
  • 11:30AM-1PM, Parks/Graywolf Courtyard (Shine) or Parks Cafe (Rain) EvCC Earth Week Musical Celebration! Celebrate Earth Week with  Free Live Music and Snacks!
