NOVEMBER 2012Lona Vista Break-in On Friday, November 2, 2012 at approximately 1600 hours, Security was notified of an individual that had entered into a Lona Vista apartment through an open window. The suspect was observed by the resident and immediately left when challenged by the resident. Residents were informed to not leave their windows open. Security Patrols were increased. Law enforcement investigated the incident. On Sunday, November 4, 2012, the suspect was apprehended when he entered an apartment through an unlocked door and went to sleep in an unoccupied room. The suspect was discovered and reported to the Resident Director. The director took immediate action which resulted in the apprehension of the suspect. The Resident Director will continue meeting with residents to discuss enhanced safety precautions. |
