Title IX is a federal law governing gender equity in educational programs. Originally written to ensure equity in athletics, Title IX also encompasses sexual harassment and sexual assault. Becky Lamboley is the Title IX Coordinator.
Title IX governs the overall equity of treatment and opportunity in athletics, including intramural activities. Everett Community College is committed to providing equal opportunity across the whole athletic program. The College ensures program-wide equity in athletic financial assistance, accommodation of athletic interests and abilities, and other program areas such as equipment, uniforms, and facilities.
Visit the EvCC Athletics page for more information about athletics.
Everett Community College prohibits sexual harassment. Sexual harassment robs people of their dignity. It can make the campus environment intolerable for students, employees, and visitors. Sexual harassment is morally, ethically, and legally wrong. Everett Community College does not tolerate it. The College encourages you to immediately report any act of sexual harassment, sexual assault, or other violent act.
