  • MARK YOUR CALENDAR - Everett CC Athletic Hall of Fame - June 5 - Former WSU Quarterback Jack Thompson to Speak - Six former athletes, one coach and three teams will be inducted into Everett Community College’s Athletic Hall of Fame at a dinner June 5.The event will be held at EvCC's Student Fitness Center, 2206 Tower St. Social hour is at 6:30 p.m. Dinner is at 7 p.m. Participants are required to RSVP in advance. The keynote speaker for the event is Jack Thompson, who played quarterback at Washington State University from 1975-79. He set numerous records at WSU before playing in the NFL for the Cincinnati Bengals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The players selected for EvCC’s Athletic Hall of Fame include golfer Art Abrahamson, javelin thrower Fred Andrew, basketball and track star Al Clise, hurdler Larry Lian, tennis, basketball and field hockey player Carol West and basketball and baseball player Bill Yeager. Legendary coach Dick Rowley, an Everett firefighter who was an award-winning tennis player for Everett Junior College and coached tennis and basketball for the college, will also be inducted. Teams selected this year include the 1954 Trojan football team, which won Everett Junior College’s third straight conference title; the 1959 Trojan men’s basketball team, which won a state championship; and the 1972-73 women’s basketball team, which holds the record for the highest place finish for an EvCC women’s basketball team. Members of the Hall of Fame were selected by a committee of community members, coaches and EvCC leaders. The event is open to the public. Dinner is $50 per person for adults; $25 for youth, with reservations required. 
  • Baseball All-NWAACC Team - There were two Trojan Baseball Players that were named to the 2012 All-NWAACC Team. Each person that was named to their regional first team was eligible for All-NWAACC honors. Alex Shaffer was named All-NWAACC Pitcher and Ryan Sells was named as All-NWAACC MVP.
  • Softball & Baseball All-Stars - The Northern Region All-Stars have been named for both softball & baseball for the 2012 seasons. For Softball - 1st Team - Jill Suratt; 2nd Team - Alyssa DesBiens and Mindy James. For Baseball - 1st Team - Infield - Max Whitt, Pitcher - Alex Shaffer; 2nd Team - Infield - JV Estella & Daniel Orr, Outfield - Paul Sitkowski, Pitcher - Jo Jo Howie, MVP - Ryan Sells, Co-Coach of the Year - Levi Lacey. Baseball Golden Glove - Infield - Daniel Orr & Stockton Taylor.
  • 4th game for Trojans - May 27 - The Trojans had to wait to see who they would be playing at 4:35pm as they were going to play the loser of the Pierce v Mt. Hood game which started the day off at 12:35am. Their opponent turned out to be Mt. Hood who lost to Pierce by a score of 5-2. This was a very close and low scoring game, between two really good teams. With a couple of chances to tie and go ahead, the Trojans were unable to beat Mt. Hood CC, losing 1-0 in this loser out game. This game ended the 2012 season for the Trojans, who finished their overall season with a great record of 32-12. Paul Sitkowski had a double while Jayk Sells had a stolen base.
  • Games 2 & 3 for the Trojans - May 26 - With the loss to LCC on May 25, the Trojans are now in the loser bracket. They can come back and still win the championship, however they must win all of their remaining games. In their first game of the day, the Trojans faced the Hawks of Columbia Basin College in a loser out game. The Trojans won the game 6-1 over the Hawks and then they had to play a second game later on that night. Their second game was against the Yaks of Yakima Valley CC. This was also a loser out game. In a shutout - the Trojans beat the Yaks 6-0 sending them home. Highs for the Trojans - 1st game - Max Whitt & Daniel Orr each had a double; JV Estella & Jayk Sells each had a double & RBI; Stockton Taylor had a double and stolen base and Cody Reed had an RBI. 2nd game - Daniel Orr had a double; Paul Sitkowski had a home run and RBI; JV Estella had a RBI and stolen base; and Cody Reed an Stockton Taylor each had an RBI.
  • Trojans Game 1 NWAACC Baseball - May 25 - The Trojans played their first game of the 2012 NWAACC Championship Tournament against the Red Devils of Lower Columbia College at 12:50pm on Friday May 25. Going into the bottom of the ninth inning, the Trojans were down 2-4 to the Red Devils with 2 outs and a runner on. Keone Kela hits a long fly ball to left field and unfortunately, LCC's left fielder does a leaping catch over the outfield fence for the third out and to end the game. That catch was shown on Sports Center's as their #1 play of the day, King 5's sports highlights, MSN, listed on Yahoo's mainpage under their ticker and Yahoo Sports http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-league-stew/college-player-makes-impossible-over-fence-catch-save-192424145.html;_ylt=A2KJNTvRFcVPlhsAWAZNbK5. It has also made it onto YouTube and has about 1.5 million hits - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UuitsWhCyc. Stockton Taylor had a double while Max Whitt and Cody Reed each had an RBI.
  • Rain delays Baseball Championship Tournament - May 24 - Due to typical Western Washington weather - aka The Rain - the first games of the 2012 NWAACC Baseball Tournament have been postponed. The first game that was to be at 9:35am has been moved to the 4:35pm time slot with the second game moving to 7:35pm. The third and fourth games (EvCC plays the fourth game) have been moved to the morning of May 25th - at 9:30am and 12:30pm. 
  • Track & Field Results from Championships - The Men's & Women's Track & Field teams were in Spokane, WA to participate in the 2012 NWAACC Championship Meet. This two day event was held at Spokane Falls CC. The team finishes are the best by EvCC teams in more than 25 years - Men in 4th with 53 and Women in 5th with 74. This is the second year back with a full track & field program after only being distance track for several years. On the whole the throwers carried the day, but there were some great individual performances in the sprints, jumps and hurdles as well.
    Brenna Eldredge - 3rd in the 3k Steeplechase, All-American Honors, in 11:53.81 (3rd All-Time at EvCC) and the next day finished 6th in 19:11.92. Her 5,000m finish was a highlight of the meet that saw her close a six second gap on Spokane runner in the last 300m to edge her just at the line.
    Janell Alyea - 1st in Discus with a school record mark of 43.50m (142'3") and 3rd in the Hammer Throw in 43.37m (142'3") earning All-American Honors in both events.
    Angel Rodgers - 2nd in the Hammer Throw with 43.62m (143'1") just missing her own school record of 43.65m and earns All-American Honors (awarded to top 3 finishers).
    Malaki Seanoa -2nd in Javelin with 60.41m (198'2"), and is an All-American in this event. Also 4th in the Hammer Throw with a huge PR
    Kenny Bates - 3rd in Javelin with 60.30m (197'10"), and is an All-American.
    Gage Donovan - 3rd in the Long Jump with 7.03m (23'0.75"), All-American honors and takes 4th in the 100m.
    Kaitlin Fisher - 1st in 800m in 2:17.73.
    Veronica Hall - 4th in 800m in 2:20.94.
    Nari Sternen - 2nd in the 110m High Hurdles running 15.49 into a headwind after clocking 14.98 in prelims.
  • Baseball N. Region #1 seed for NWAACC - May 24-28 - At Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA, the 2012 NWAACC Baseball Championship Tournament will be held. This has 2 teams from each region playing for the Championship title. With their win of the Northern Region Playoff Series, the Trojans will be the #1 seed for the North. Bellevue College is the #2 seed for the North as they were league co-champions with the Trojans, and due to them beating the Trojans 3 out of 4 games they received the automatic entry into the Championship Tournament. At 7:35pm on May 24th, the Trojans will face the Red Devils of host Lower Columbia College while Bellevue plays at 12:35pm v Pierce College. 
  • Trojans win N. Region Playoff - May 20 - At Bellevue College, the Trojans faced the Tritons of Edmonds CC again. This time it was for the championship of the 2012 Northern Region Playoff Series, with the winner going to the 2012 NWAACC Championship Tournament as the #1 seed for the North. The Tritons had to beat the Trojans twice in order to win the series as the the Tritons had already lost once while the Trojans had yet to get a loss. The game started at 10am and this was the 7th meeting this season between the two teams. With a score of 5-2, the Trojans won the game and the playoff series and the bid for the #1 seed into NWAACC's. The Trojans had 9 hits, 5 runs, 0 errors to the Tritons 6hits, 2 runs, 2 errors. JV Estella & Daniel Orr each had a double and RBI; Max Whitt and Jayk Sells each had a double and Cody Reed had an RBI.
  • Baseball beats Bellevue - May 19 - In the second day of the 2012 Northern Region Playoffs the Trojan met up with the winner of Game 2, the Bulldogs of Bellevue College. This was the fifth time the Trojans have faced the Bulldogs this season. With 11 hits, 7 runs and 1 error, the Trojans beat the Bulldogs 7-2, as they only had 10 hits, 2 runs, 3 errors. This puts the Trojans into the championship game and will face the winner of Game 5 at 10am. JV Estella had a double an RBI, and stolen base; Keone Kela had a double an RBI and stolen base; Daniel Orr had a home run and RBI; Max Whitt had 2 RBI's and Ryan Sells had a stolen base.
  • Trojan Baseball beats EdCC - May 18 - The first game of the 2012 Northern Region Playoff series is in the books and has the Trojans beating the Tritons with a score of 9-4. This send the Tritons to the loser bracket and the Trojans to face the winner of Game 2 between Bellevue College & Douglas College. That game will be played on Saturday May 19 at 1:30pm. In this game the Trojans has 13 hits, 9 runs, 0 errors to the Tritons 8 hits 4 runs, 1 error. Ryan Sells had a double, a triple, and 3 RBI's; Keone Kela had a double and 2 RBI's; Jayk Sells had a double; Max Whitt had a triple and RBI; Cody Reed had a triple; Paul Sitkowski, JV Estella, and Daniel Orr each had an RBI.

  • N. Region Playoff Series - May 18-20 - The 2012 Northern Region Playoff Series will be played at Bellevue College. This is a three day event with the winner being the #1 seed for the North at the NWAACC Championship Tournament. Game 1 of the series have the Trojans at 1:30pm against the third place team, the Tritons of Edmonds CC. Game 2 is Bellevue College facing fourth place Douglas College at 4:30pm. Saturday morning the first game (Game 3) will be at 10:30am and have the losers games 1 & 2 - loser out. Game 4 has the winners of games 1 & 2 play at 1:30pm. Game 5 has the winner of Game 3 face the loser of Game 4 at 4:30pm - loser out. Game 6 will be played Sunday afternoon at 12:00pm and will have the winner of Game 4 against the winner of Game 5. If the winner of Game 5 wins this game, there will be a second game between those two teams at 3:00pm. Good Luck Trojans!!!
  • Final 2012 Coaches Poll - May 16 - The final NWAACC Coaches Polls of 2012 seasons was released on May 16th. The Baseball poll had Everett still in the #3 spot but by themselves. Bellevue College was still in the #1 spot. The Softball poll had two teams from the North - Bellevue in the #5 and Olympic in a three way tie for #8.
  • Everett Baseball Co-Champions - The Everett CC Trojan Baseball Team are the Northern Region Co-Champions with the Bellevue College Bulldogs. Each went 19-5 in league play for the 2012 season. Bellevue College will get the automatic entry into the 2012 NWAACC Championship Tournament because they beat Everett 3 out of 4 games when they faced each other a couple of weeks ago. Everett still has a chance of making it to the tournament. They must take 1st place at the Northern Region Playoff Series that will take place at Bellevue College on Fri-Sun, May 18-20. The only other way that Everett will make it is if Bellevue takes 1st at the Playoff Series and Everett takes 2nd. The other team that is definitely in the playoff series is Edmonds CC for taking 3rd place in league. Skagit Valley College & Douglas College are tied for 4th place and have a one game playoff today (May 14) to see who will be the fourth team in the series. The NWAACC Tournament will be held at Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA on May 24th - 28th. Good Luck Guys!
  • 2012 Track & Field Championships - Monday & Tuesday, May 21 & 22, in Spokane, WA the 2012 NWAACC Track & Field Outdoor Championship Meet will take place. It will be hosted by Spokane Falls CC. Good Luck to all of our Trojan Athletes that will be attending the Meet representing Everett CC.
  • 2012 Softball NWAACC's - Friday May 18th - Monday May 21st is the dates for the 2012 NWAACC Softball Tournament that will be held at Delta Park in Portland, OR. Unfortunately, with the 5th place league finish, the Trojans will not be attending this year. Good luck to the 16 teams that made it to the tournament.
  • Trojan Baseball split with Edmonds - Over the weekend of May 12th & 13th, the Trojan Baseball Team played four league games with the Tritons of Edmonds CC - 2 games at their place on Saturday and 2 games at Everett Memorial Stadium on Sunday. These games were the final regular season games for both teams. Each 1st game of the double header are only 7 innings, while the second game is the 9 inning game. The first game at EdCC started at 4:00pm and while the Trojans had 4 hits, they were unable to score on them, thus giving the Tritons the win by a score of 4-0. Ryan Sells had a double for Everett. The second game was a different story though. The Trojans had 9 hits (3 double & a home run), 5 runs, 1 error to the Tritons 3 hits, 2 runs, 1 error. Max Whitt & Aaron Hatch each had a double, Ryan Sells had a double and a home run along with 2 RBI's, Paul Sitkowski, JV Estella & Keone Kela each had an RBI. The first game on Sunday at Everett started at 2:00pm and had the Trojans scored early, 1 run in the second. In the top of 5th, the Tritons scored two, but the Trojans responded with one to tie the game at the end of the 5th. In the top of the 7th, the Tritons started off with a single RBI home run to go ahead 3-2 then got the bases loaded on an error, single and walk. They scored on a past ball to have a score of 4-2 going into the bottom of the 7th. The Trojans were at the top of the order and had gotten 2 on base with two outs with a chance to win it, however they weren't able to score and lost the game 2-4. Keone Kela had a double while Cody Reed had a double and RBI. In the final game, the Trojans knew they had to come back an take this game and it showed that they wanted it. Everett had 12 hits, 6 runs, 2 errors to Edmonds 8 hits, 2 runs, 1 error. Ryan Sells had a double, home run and 4 RBI's; Aaron Hatch had a double; Mitch Viydo had a double and 3 RBI's; Max Whitt had an RBI and stolen base. These games take the Trojans to 19-5 in league (tied for 1st) and 27-10 overall.
  • Trojan Softball beats Shoreline - Saturday May 12th, the Trojan Softball team hosted the Shoreline CC Dolphins in the final league games of the 2012 season. These games were to be played at Shoreline, however earlier in the season, Everett's field was unplayable so the games were flip-flopped. The first game started out with the Dolphins getting a quick lead, however the Trojans bounced back and took the game with a score of 6-5. The Trojans had 15 hits, 6 runs, 3 errors while the Dolphins had 7 hits, 5 runs, 4 errors. The second game was all Everett. They won the game 9-1, with 7 hits, 9 runs, 2 errors with Shoreline having 3 hits, 1 run, 2 errors. These games take the Trojans to a 12-12 league record and 5th place in league and an overall record of 15-27.
  • Softball lose to Douglas - Friday May 11th, the Trojans traveled to New Westminster in British Columbia for two league games with the Royals of Douglas College. The Trojans were unable to win either game against the Royals, who won both games with scores of 5-0 and 4-3. In the first game Everett had 1 hit, 0 runs, 1 error to Douglas 7 hits, 5 runs, 0 errors. In the second game Everett had 6 hits, 3 runs, 0 errors while Douglas had 11 hits, 4 runs, 2 errors. Also in the second game - Mindy James had two doubles and stolen base and Jill Suratt had 2 RBI's.
  • Time Change for Baseball home game - May 13 - Sunday May 13th league games that Everett is hosting against Edmonds CC will now start at 2:00pm instead of the normal 1:00pm start.
  • Track Athlete of the Week - May 11 - The release of Week #10 for the NWAACC Track & Field Athletes of the Week were released on May 11th. Everett Freshman - Kaitlin Fisher was the Women's Track Athlete of the Week for her performances at the Western Washington University Twilight Meet on May 4th and the University of Oregon Twilight Meet on May 5th. In the 800 meter run at WWU she ran it in 2:17.71 and 2:15.52 at U of O. Nominator comments are: "Kaitlin improved her personal record in the 800m over the weekend by 6 seconds and is now the NWAACC leader in the event. At the WWU Twilight on Friday, she posted the NWAACC leading 800m time of 2:17.71. At the Oregon Twilight the following day, she was pulled into the race as an alternate and despite not knowing she would race until within 5 minutes of the start, dropped two more seconds to 2:15.52."
  • Softball beats Skagit - May 8 - The Trojan Softball Team hosted the Cardinals of Skagit Valley College on Tuesday May 8th for a league double header. The Trojans won both games with scores of 3-2 & 1-0 (10 innings). In the first game the Trojans had 5 hits, 3 runs, 3 errors to the Cardinals 4 hits, 2 runs, 0 errors. Alyssa Desbiens had a double; Erin Fenney had a RBI & stolen base; Hailey Helm & Liz Reimer each had an RBI. In the second game the Trojans had 8 hits, 1 run and 0 errors in 10 innings to the Cardinals 4 hits, 0 runs, 0 errors. Mindy James had a double; Jill Suratt had an RBI; Celyna Luevano had a stolen base. These take the Trojans to 10-10 in league play and 13-25 overall.
  • Baseball v Edmonds - May 12 & 13 - In the final series of league play, the Trojans will face the Edmonds CC Tritons in four games. The first two games will be played on Saturday at Edmonds CC and will begin at 1:00pm. The final two games will be played at Everett on Sunday, also starting at 1:00pm. Directions to the games at Edmonds CC can be found under the directions link to the left. The games at Everett will be played at Everett Memorial Stadium.
  • Softball hosts Shoreline - May 12 - The Dolphins of Shoreline CC will be in town on Saturday May 12th to play the final regular season double header with the Trojans. This game was to be played at Shoreline, however, earlier on in the season, Everett's field was unplayable when they were to play the Dolphins and so the games were switched. First game will start at 1:00pm and the second game will start about 30 minutes after the end of the first.
  • Softball @ Douglas - May 11 - Friday, May 11th, the Trojan Softball Team will travel to New Westminster, BC in Canada to play a league double header against the Douglas College Royals. The first game begins at 2pm with the second to follow about 30 minutes after the end of the first. Directions to DC can be located under the directions link to the left.
  • Baseball takes four from Douglas - Over the weekend of May 5th & 6th, the Trojans played the Royals of Douglas College in four league games - two at Douglas and two at Everett. The Trojans won all four games with scores of 2-1; 5-4; 5-0; 7-3. These wins increase the Trojans record to 17-3 in league and 25-8 overall. Stats for the Trojans: 1st game - JV Estella had a double and Max Whitt had a stolen base; 2nd game - Ryan Sells had a double, a home run and an RBI, Daniel Orr, Tanner Romo, Ryan Morgan and Stockton Taylor each had an RBI; 3rd game - Paul Sitkowski had a double & RBI; Ryan Sells had a double & RBI; Daniel Orr had a double & RBI; JV Estella had a double and 2 RBI's; Max Whitt had an RBI and Keone Kela had a stolen base; 4th game - Max Whitt had a double, a home run & RBI; Paul Sitkowski had a double & RBI; Daniel Orr, Ryan Sells, & Stockton Taylor each had a double and 2 RBI's.
  • Coaches Polls - The NWAACC released the most current coaches polls on Friday May 4th. On the Softball poll, Bellevue College & Olympic College were the only two Northern Region teams in the top 8. Shoreline had received votes, just not enough to make the top 8. On the Baseball poll, The Trojans moved from 2nd to tied for 3rd. Bellevue remained at #1 and Edmonds moved from tied for 3rd to 5th. The final coaches polls for both softball & baseball will be released on May 18th.
  • Track & Field Athletes of the Week - May 4 - Week 9 of the NWAACC Track & Field season has Everett's Gage Donovan as the Men's Track Athlete of the Week for his performance at the St. Martin's University Invite that took place on April 28th in Lacey, WA. Gage is a freshman that ran the 100 meter dash in 10.90 and had 6.89 meters in the Long Jump. Nominators comments are: "Impressive athlete!" & "Gage won the 100m and LJ at the St. Martin's Invite while also running a leg on the school's 2nd place 4x100m Relay and placing 8th in the Triple Jump."
  • Softball home v Skagit - May 8 - Tuesday, the Trojan Softball Team will have their Sophomore Appreciation Game when they host the Cardinals of Skagit Valley College. The game will begin at 2pm. During the game there will be a BBQ for all fans, family & friends. In between games the Trojan Sophomores will be annouced and a small presentation made as the coaches and freshman show their appreciation for the sophomores last two years of play.
  • EvCC Women's Runner #1 in NWAACC - Kaitlin Fisher, a freshman from Woodinville High School, posted a 2:15.52 in the 800m on Saturday, May 5th at the Oregon Twilight in Eugene, OR at Hayward Field. The time is the 2nd fastest ever posted by an EvCC athlete and ranks her #1 in the NWAACC in 2012 and is just 0.22 seconds shy of Cindy Yahne's school record of 2:15.30. On Friday night at the Western Washington Twilight she posted a time of 2:17.71 in the 800m. Great Job Kaitlin!
  • Baseball vs Douglas - May 5 & 6 - The Trojans and the Royals of Douglas College will play four league games over the course of two days. Saturday the 5th, the Royals will host the Trojans for two games up in New Westminster, BC. On Sunday the 6th, the Trojans will host the Royals for two games at Everett Memorial Stadium. The first game on both days will begin at 1:00pm, with the second game to follow approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the first.   • Track & Field @ U of Oregon - May 5 - The Men's & Women's Track & Field Teams will travel to Eugene, OR to participate in the Oregon Twilight Meet at Hayward Field.   • Softball loses to Bellevue - Tuesday May 1st the Trojans lost two league games to the Bulldogs of Bellevue College. The first game was 6-14 and the second was 2-8. These take the Trojans to 8-10 in league play and 11-25 overall and puts them into 5th place in league. Bellevue is now 18-0 in league, 34-3 overall and is in 1st place in the Northern Region.
  • Softball @ Bellevue - May 1st - The Trojan Softball Team will travel to Bellevue to play the Bellevue College Bulldogs in league play. The double header will begin at 2pm. Directions to BC can be found under the directions link to the left.
  • Baseball sweeps the Cardinals - The weekend of April 28th & 29th, the Trojan Men's Baseball Team swept the Skagit Valley College Cardinals in four league games. The first two games were played at Everett Memorial Stadium on Saturday and had the Trojans winning the first game by a score of 7-1. Starting pitcher Ryan Sells had a no hitter through 5 innings for the Trojans. They finished the game with 11 hits, 7 runs, 0 errors while the Cardinals had 2 hits, 1 run, 0 errors.   • Softball takes two from Edmonds - Saturday April 28th, Edmonds CC Tritons came to Everett for a league double header. Both games were dominated by the Trojans. They won the first game 9-1 and the second 12-2. The Trojans had 5 hits, 9 runs, and 1 error to the Tritons 6 hits, 1 run, 5 errors in the first game. Erin Fenney had a home run and three RBI's along with a stolen base while Alyssa DesBiens also had a stolen base. In the second game, the Trojans 10 hits, 12 runs, 1 error to the Tritons 1 hit, 2 runs, 0 errors.
  • Softball lose to Olympic - Friday April 27th, the Trojans hosted the Rangers of Olympic College in a league double header. Unfortunately, the Trojans weren't able to get a win against the Rangers. They lost the first game 0-3 and the second 1-7. The Trojans had many scoring opportunities but were unable to score in the two games except for the one run in the second. The first game, the Trojans had 6 hits, 0 runs, 0 errors and the Rangers had 5 hits, 3 runs, 0 errors. In the second game, the Trojans had 3 hits, 1 run, 2 errors to the Rangers 6 hits, 7 runs, 3 errors.
  • ABCA Poll released - April 24th was the release date of the ABCA Junior College Pacific Associations Division poll. This was based off of the April 20th NWAACC Coaches Poll and has six NWAACC teams listed with another two receiving votes. Three Northern Region Teams are listed and are the top three for the NWAACC. Bellevue College is #3, Everett CC is #6, Edmonds CC and Pierce College are tied for #11, Tacoma CC is #19 and Mt. Hood CC is #23. Treasure Valley CC and Yakima Valley CC were the two that received votes.
  • Softball lose two to Bulldogs - Tuesday, April 24th may not have been the nicest day outside, but it was great weather for the league double header that the Trojans hosted with Bellevue College. Unfortunately, the Bulldogs beat the Trojans in both games - 6-3 & 6-0. In the first game the Trojans had 10 hits, 3 runs, 4 errors to the Bulldogs 7 hits, 6 runs, 2 errors. Kiley Hanratty & Jill Suratt each had an RBI for the Trojans. In the second game, the Trojans had only 3 hits, 0 runs, 1 error while the Bulldogs had 8 hits, 6 runs, and 1 error. These games take Everett to 6-6 in league and 9-21 overall.

  • Softball hosts Edmonds - April 28 - Saturday, the Trojans will host the Tritons of Edmonds CC in a league double header. These games were supposed to be played at Edmonds, however due to the weather and Everett's field conditions on April 12th they flip flopped the games. So the games will be played at Everett Boys & Girls Club. First game will be at 2:00pm.

  • Softball results from YVCC tournament - The Trojan Softball Team traveled to Yakima, WA this past weekend (4/21-4/22) to participate in the Yakima Valley CC 2012 Crossover. They faced two opponents on Saturday and two on Sunday. Their first game on Saturday was against Walla Walla CC. They lost to the Warriors 7-10. They had 9 hits, 7 runs, 0 errors to the Warriors 12 hits, 10 runs and 2 errors. Alyssa DesBiens had a double, a home run and an RBI along with Andrea Vye's RBI. The second game for the Trojans, they faced the Storm from Chemeketa CC. The Trojans won in a shutout 9-0 - with 5 hits, 9 runs, 0 errors to the Storm's 1 hit, 0 runs, 3 errors. Jill Suratt had a double and RBI; Erin Fenney had a stolen base and Hailey Helm, Alyssa DesBiens & Torrey Herrington each had an RBI. On Sunday, the faced the Sasquatch of the CC's of Spokane. In a close game, the Trojans lost 0-2. Each team had 4 hits, while Everett had one error, Spokane had 2 errors and 2 runs. In the final game of the tournament for the Trojans, they faced the Trailblazers of Centralia College. They beat the Trailblazers 8-0. The Trojans had 8 hits, 8 runs, 2 errors while the Trailblazers had 8 hits, 0 runs, 3 errors.
  • Baseball v Bellevue results - 4/21 & 4/22 - Saturday's double header was at Bellevue College. The first game, the Trojans won 8-3 and Stockton Taylor had a double, 4 RBI's; Cody Reed had 2 RBI's and Joey Gillespie had an RBI. In the second game the Bulldogs, won 5-0. Joey Gillespie had a double for the Trojans. On Sunday, the double header was at Everett Memorial Stadium. Unfortunately, the Bulldogs won both of those games - 5-1 & 9-3. Paul Sitkowski had a double in the first game and Daniel Orr & Ryan Sells each had an RBI in the second game.
  • 4th Spring NWAACC Coaches Polls - Friday April 20th, the NWAACC released the fourth coaches polls of the 2012 spring season. On the Softball poll, Bellevue College was the only Northern Region team on the top 8, and they moved down one spot from 4th to 5th from the April 6th poll. Douglas College from the North received votes, just not enough to be in the top 8. On the Baseball poll, the top three spots are teams from the Northern Region. #1 - Bellevue College, #2 - Everett CC, #3 (tied) - Edmonds CC. Bellevue stayed in the top spot, Everett moved from 7th to 2nd and Edmonds moved from 2nd to tied for 3rd. The next polls will be released on May 4th.
  • Softball loses to Shoreline - Tuesday, April 17th, the Trojans moved their double header with Shoreline to Shoreline. The Trojans lost both league games to the Dolphins. The first game the Trojans had 5 hits, 3 runs, 2 errors to the Dolphins 12 hits, 12 runs, 2 errors. In the second game, the Trojans had 3 hits, 0 runs, 2 errors while the Dolphins had 14 hits, 13 runs, 1 error.   • Softball v Bellevue - Tuesday, April 24th, the Trojans will host the Bulldogs of Bellevue College in a make-up league double header. The games were supposed to be played on April 3rd, but due to the weather and unplayable field it was postponed until the 24th.   • Trojan Alumni A. Cunningham playing for Cleveland Indians - On the front page of the Herald Sports section on Wednesday April 18th, is a gigantic picture of former Trojan Baseball player Aaron Cunningham in his Cleveland Indians uniform. The picture was taken at spring training in March 2012. The article written by John Boyle is about Aaron reflecting on his time as a Trojan. He attended EvCC in 2004-2005, and played baseball that season too. At the end of the season he was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 6th round.   • Softball results from Skagit - The Trojans played a league double header in Mt. Vernon on Tuesday 4/10 against the Skagit Valley College Cardinals. The first game had the Trojans having 13 hits, 12 runs and 1 error compared to the Cardinals 3 hits, 0 runs, and 1 error. In the second game that started approximately 30 minutes after the first one ended, the Trojans once again had double digit hits and runs - 11 hits, 13 runs and 0 errors to the Cardinals 3 hits, 1 run, 3 errors.
  • ABCA Coaches Poll released - Based off of the April 6th NWAACC Baseball Coaches Poll, the American Baseball Coaches Association has released the Junior College Pacific Associations Division poll. There were six teams from the NWAACC on this poll. #3 - Bellevue College, #6 - Edmonds CC, #11 - Mt. Hood CC, #15 - Tacoma CC, #19 - Walla Walla CC, #23 - Yakima Valley CC. Bellevue, Edmonds & Mt. Hood all stayed in the same spots from the previous poll, while Yakima Valley moved down from 15 to 23, and Tacoma & Walla Walla weren't on the previous one.

  • Track & Field Athlete of the Week - For Week #5, EvCC Trojan Runner - Freshman Katie Strong was named as the Women's Track Athlete of the Week. She ran the 10,000 meter run at the Ralph Vernacchia Invite hosted by WWU in 37:52.33 and took 2nd place. Nominator Comment was - "Katie ran a great race to take 2nd in the 10k and posted the second-fastest all-time performance in the event among EvCC athletes."

  • 3rd NWAACC Coaches Polls for Spring - April 6th was the release date for the most current Softball & Baseball NWAACC Coaches Polls. On the Baseball poll, the Trojans were ranked in the 7th spot of the top 8 - this is down from the previous poll where they were in the 5th spot. The top two spots were held by other Northern Region teams - Bellevue in #1 and Edmonds in #2. On the Softball poll, Bellevue in the #4 spot was the only Northern Region team to be in the top 8. Olympic College and Shoreline each had received votes, just not enough to make the top 8. Next poll to be released on April 20th.
  • Good Luck Softball - 4/6 - The Trojans are on the road today and playing a league double header make up in Bremerton, WA against the Rangers of Olympic College. First game begins at 2pm.

  • Two Trojan Alumni Excel - Tyler Nilsen who graduated from EvCC in 2009 competed at the NAIA Indoor National Championships for the University of Great Falls in the 4 x 800m Relay this winter where his team earned a place in the Finals where they placed 6th to earn All-American honors. Tyler split 1:56 and his team posted an impressive time of 7:39.53. Running for Seattle Pacific University, Seth Pierson ran the mile this winter in 4:09.83 breaking an SPU school record and posting an NCAA D2 provisional qualifying time. At the GNAC Indoor Championships, Pierson took the individual title in the mile in a tactical race posting a time of 4:13.27.

  • Track & Field Athlete of the Week - For Week #4 - Trojan Thrower - Sophomore Malaki Seanoa was named the Men's Field Athlete of the Week for his performance at the CNW Spring Break Open in the Javelin. He threw 61.46 meters or 201' 8" taking 1st place at the meet. Nominator comment - "Great throw! Only 1 1/2 feet below his 3rd place throw at last season's championship." This is Malaki's second naming as Field Athlete of the Week.

In their first game on March 24th, they faced the Raiders of Pierce College. With 11 hits, 5 runs and 1 error, the Trojans beat the Raiders who only had 2 hits, 0 runs and 3 errors. Trojan scorers were: M. Whitt, S. Taylor, T. Romo, C. Moore & J. Sells. Cody Reed had a double and RBI; Tanner Romo had an RBI and Paul Sitkowski had an RBI. Jayk Sells had a stolen base as well. In the Trojans second game of the day they played the Lakers of Southwestern Oregon CC (SWOCC). It was a close game, however the Lakers would win in the end 8-6. Everett's 6 runs were made by: P. Sitkowski, JV Estella, D. Orr, S. Taylor, C. Moore, & E. Hargrave. Orr, Taylor, Romo, Moore and Sells each had an RBI and Sells had a stolen base. Everett had 11 hits, 6 runs and 12 errorr, while SWOCC had 4 hits, 8 runs, and 1 error. The afternoon of the 25th, the Trojans once again faced the Lakers of SWOCC. While the hits were different, the score was ultimately the same, with Everett losing 6-8 to SWOCC. The Trojans had 4 hits, 6 runs, 1 error to SWOCC's 7 hits, 8 runs, 1 error. Trojan runs made by: M. Whitt, P. Sitkowski, J. Mercer, D. Orr, J. Gillespie, J. Sells. Max Whitt had a double and an RBI, while Stockton Taylor and Cody Reed each contributed one RBI. The Trojans faced the host team in their second and final game of the day - Tacoma CC Titans. This game came down to pitching and defense as the score was only 1-2. Unfortunately, the Trojans were on the losing end of this game. They had 6 hits, 1 run, 1 error to the Titans 8 hits, 2 runs an 0 errors. Stockton Taylor had the only run for the Trojans and Jon Mercer added a double and stolen base, while Cody Reed had an RBI and Chris Moore had a stolen base.
  • Softball @ Olympic - 3/27 - Tueday March 27th, the Trojans will travel to Bremerton, WA to play a league double header against the Rangers of Olympic College. First game is to begin at 2pm. Directions to OC are located to the left under the directions link.
  • Baseball ABCA Poll - March 21st the release of the American Baseball Coaches Association Junior College Pacific Associations Divisions coaches poll. There six teams from the NWAACC on the poll. Bellevue College 3rd, Edmonds CC 6th, Mt Hood CC 11th, Yakima Valley CC 15th, Everett CC 19th, Treasure Valley CC 23rd.
  • NWAACC Coaches Polls - March 21st was the release date for the most current coaches polls. This was the first for the 2012 baseball season and the second for softball. On the baseball top 8, there were three teams from the North - Bellevue 1st, Edmonds 2nd, & Everett 5th. On the softball top eight there was some movement within the top 8, and only one new entry - Yakima Valley CC took the 8th spot and Everett was not listed. There is still lots of time for both teams to move up on the poll. Next polls to be released on April 6th.
  • Baseball results from 3/19 - The Trojan Baseball Team played the Tritons of Edmonds CC in Lynnwood on Monday and even though they had 5 hits and 2 runs, they weren't able to outplay the Tritons who had 12 hits and 7 runs. Tanner Romo had a double and an RBI and Daniel Orr had an RBI. Neither team had any errors. They Trojans will see the Tritons again - once more in non-league and twice in league.
  • Softball results from March 17 & 18 - The Trojans were in Pasco, WA on Saturday, 3/17 playing a non-league double header with Columbia Basin College. In the first game, the Trojans had more hits than the Hawks, but they didn't have more runs. The Hawks won 6-4. Jill Suratt had 2 doubles, and Hailey Helm and Torrey Herrington each had a double; Andrea Vye had a stolen base and Torrey Herrington had 2 RBI's, with Andrea Vye & Andessey Carillo each had one RBI. In the second game, the Hawks definitely wanted the game, as they put up 13 more runs than the Trojans winning the game 14-1. Andrea Vye had a solo home run for the Trojans only run. Sunday March 18th, the Trojans traveled to Walla Walla, WA to play the Warriors of Walla Walla CC in a non-league double header. The first game started at 11am and was a very offensive game. Both teams had hits and runs in the double digits. At the end of the game, the Trojans were behind 10-11. Alyssa DesBiens had a Home Run and 3 RBI's; Jill Suratt had 3 doubles and an RBI, Hailey Helm had 2 doubles and 2 RBI's, Celyna Luevano had one double and one RBI. In the second game at WWCC, each team had 8 hits, however the Trojans were unable to score where as the Warriors scored 7. Jill Suratt had 4 doubles and Alyssa DesBiens and Liz Reimer each had one double.
  • Baseball Tournament at Tacoma CC - The Trojan Baseball Team will be in Tacoma, WA to participate in the Tacoma CC Tournament on Saturday & Sunday - March 24th & 25th. As of right now, the Trojans are scheduled to play the Raiders of Pierce College at 10 am on Saturday, and the Lakers of Southwestern Oregon CC at 1pm. On Sunday they will face the Southwestern Oregon CC Lakers at 1pm and the Tacoma CC Titans at 4pm.
  • Track & Field to CNW Spring Break Open - The Men's & Women's Track Teams will travel to West Seattle to participate in the CNW Spring Break Open on Saturday, March 24th.   • Baseball adds non-league game - With the cancellation of three non-league games against Linn-Benton, the Trojan coaching staff contacted Edmonds CC to see if they wanted to play a non-league game with the Trojans. So, Monday March 19th, the Trojans will travel to Lynnwood to play a single game with the Tritons. Game will start at 2:00pm. Directions to EdCC are under the directions link to the left.
  • Baseball v Linn-Benton CC Cancelled - The three non-league games that were to be played this weekend (March 17-18) with the Roadrunners of Linn-Benton CC have been cancelled. No reschedule at this time.
  • Track & Field Athletes of the Week - For Week #2 - Everett CC had 3 named as Athletes of the Week for their performances at the PLU Invitational in Tacoma on Saturday March 10th. Sophomore Keefe Hanson was named as the Men's Track Athlete of the Week. He ran the 3,000 meter Steeplechase in 10:05.21 taking 3rd place. Sophomore Malaki Seanoa was named the Men's Field Athlete of the Week. He threw the Hammer 42.85 meters/140' 7" for 11th place (1st in all CC throwers) and threw the Javelin 57.03 meters/187' 1" for 2nd place. Nominator comment - "A great opener for Malaki who finished 2nd in the javelin and 11th in the hammer. His hammer mark represents a more than 8 meter improvement from 2011 and both marks are auto qualifiers for the 2012 NWAACC Championships." Sophomore Janell Alyea was named the Women's Field Athlete of the Week. She threw the Discus 39.28 meters/128" 10" taking 1st place and throwing the Hammer 36.59 meters/120' taking 2nd place. Nominator Comments - "A very nice opener for Janell who has only ben training with the track team for two weeks since concluding her basketball season. With the meet running late, Janell needed only one throw in the disc to win the event; she earlier placed 2nd overall in the hammer." "Great effort against NCAA competition: 1st in discus, 2nd in hammer."
  • Softball travels east - On Saturday March 17th, the Trojan Softball Team will be in Pasco, WA to play the Hawks of Columbia Basin College in a non-league double header. The first game begins at 12pm with the second to follow about 30 minutes after the end of the first. On Sunday the team will be in Walla Walla, WA to play a non-league double header with Walla Walla CC. Their first game is at 11am, again with the second to start about 30 minutes after the first one ends.
  • Baseball hosts Linn-Benton CC - This upcoming weekend (3/17-3/18), the Trojans will host the Roadrunners of Linn-Benton CC in non-league play. They will have one game on Saturday starting at 4pm and two games on Sunday starting at 10am. Games will be played at the Everett Memorial Stadium and admission is free to all.

  • Baseball @ WVC Tournament results - The Men's Baseball Team was in Wenatchee, WA over the weekend of March 10th for a mini tournament. They played Wenatchee Valley at 10am on the 10th. The Trojans had 5 hits, 2 runs (JV Estella & Jaykob Sells), 0 errors. Unfortunately, the Knights had one more run to win - 5 hits, 3 runs, 0 errors. Jon Mercer had the only RBI, and Max Whitt & Jaykob Sells each had a stolen base. In the Trojans second game of the day they faced the Gators of Green River CC. In this game, the Trojans had 3 more hits and 2 more runs than the Gators - winning 3-1. The Trojans had 6 hits, 3 runs and 0 errors to the Gators 3 hits, 1 run, 0 errors. Sunday morning they again faced the Gators of GRCC. In this game both teams had 6 hits, however, the Trojans tacked on one more run than the Gators winning 2-1. In the 2pm game, the Trojans played the Cardinals of Skagit Valley College. . With 13 hits, 8 runs and 2 errors, the Trojans dominated this game. The Cardinals only had 4 hits, 0 runs, and 1 error.
  • Softball results from AZ - The Trojan Softball Team had two non-league games with Gateway CC on March 8th. In the first of the double header the Trojans had 3 hits, 0 runs, 0 errors to Gateway's 8 hits, 8 runs, 3 errors. In the second game, the Trojans improved to 8 hits, 8 runs, an 2 errors. However, Gateway improved also, they had 11 hits, 9 runs, 2 errors. On March 9th, the Trojans had 2 games in the Phoneix CC Spring Invitational Tournament. In their first game at 9am, they faced the host team - Phoenix CC. With 3 hits, 5 runs an 1 error, the Trojans came up short against Phoenix CC losing 5-8. In their second game of the day, they faced Douglas College, whom they play in league play. Unfortunately, the Royals outscored the Trojans 9-4. The Trojans had 8 hits, 4 runs, and 2 errors to Douglas's 12 hits, 9 runs, 0 errors. March 10th had the Trojans first game pitted against Illinois Central College at 9am. With only 3 hits, the Trojans weren't able to get the "W". ICC beat the Trojans 9-0. They had 8 hits, 9 runs, 5 errors to the Trojans 3 hits, 0 3runs, 2 errors. In the Trojans final game of the tournament, they once again faced the host team - Phoenix CC. The first game with Phoenix was close, however, the second game was far from it. Phoenix CC beat the Trojans 19-0, having 15 hits, 19 runs and 3 errors to the Trojans 3 hits, 0 runs and 0 errors.
  • 1st NWAACC Softball Coaches Poll - March 9th was the release date for the NWAACC 1st Softball Coaches Poll of the 2012 season. There were only two teams on the top eight from the Northern Region - Bellevue College & EvCC. Bellevue was 6th while EvCC was 8th. The next poll will be released on March 21st.
  • Track @ PLU Invite - The Men's & Women's Track Teams will travel to Tacoma, WA to participate in the Pacific Lutheran University 2012 Invitational on March 10th.   • Trojan Baseball to Wenatchee - The Trojan Baseball Team will leave on Friday March 9th for Wenatchee, WA to participate in the 2012 Wenatchee Valley College Baseball Tournament. They start off the tournament playing the host team at 10am on Saturday March 10th. They then play Green River CC at 1pm.   • Softball to Arizona - The 2012 Trojan Softball Team will leave March 6th for a tournament in Phoenix, AZ, and will return on March 11th. They will also play Gateway CC in a non-league game before the tournament begins. At the tournament, the Trojans will play 4 games against some of the best teams in the Phoenix area.   • Basketball All-Star Event - There will be two EvCC Women's Basketball Players participating in the 2012 Basketball Sophomore All-Star Event. Tessla Rennie and Alexis Edwardson will be traveling to Pierce College in Lakewood, WA to compete on the Northern Region Sophomore All-Star Team. The Event will take place on Sunday March 11th. There will be four games - 2 women's (North v South & East v West) and 2 men's (North v South & East v West). Good Luck Ladies!
  • EvCC Baseball Tournament results - Saturday, March 3rd, the Trojans played the Dolphins of Shoreline CC and Vancouver Island University. In their first game with Shoreline, they beat them 8-5. Vancouver Island then played Shoreline and after that game the Trojans played Vancouver Island. The Trojans won that game as well with a score of 5-1. On Sunday, the Trojans started out with Vancouver Island - however no score turned in at this time. Then Vancouver Island played Shoreline and then the Trojans played Shoreline. The score was 7-3 in favor of the Trojans.
  • Softball Results from Pre-season Tournament - March 3rd, the Trojan Softball team was in Richland, WA participating in the 2012 Pre-season Tournament hosted by Walla Walla CC. They had two games on Saturday and two games on Sunday. Their first game on Saturday was with the Timberwolves of Blue Mountain CC. With 6 Hits and 6 Runs to the Timberwolves 7 hits, 4 runs, 3 errors, the Trojans win 6-4. Kiley Hanratty had a double and a stolen base; Andrea Vye and Mindy James each had an RBI and Alyssa DesBiens had 2 RBI's. In the second game the Trojans faced the Wenatchee Valley College Knights. This game would only go 5 innings due to 8 run rule. Unfortunately, the Trojans weren't on the winning side of this game. They had 0 hits, 0 runs and 2 errors to the Knights 6 hits, 8 runs, 0 errors. Sunday, March 4th, the Trojans faced the Chukers of Treasure Valley CC. The Trojans had 2 hits, 1 run, 1 errors but lost to the Chukers who had 7 hits, 7 runs, 3 errors. Jill Suratt and Celyna Luevano had the 2 hits while Kahlee Barrio had the only run for the Trojans. Their last game of the day pitted them against the Saints of Mt. Hood CC (2011 NWAACC Champions and the team that beat the Trojans for that title). The Trojan score first with 1 run in the 3rd and score again in the 4th with 2 runs. Unfortunately, those would be the last times the Trojans would score. In the 6th, the Saints get one back and in the 7th, they talley up 6 more runs to win 7-3. The Trojans had 5 hits, 3 runs, 0 errors to the Saints 10 hits, 7 runs, 4 errors. Kiley Hanratty had 2 double, and an RBI with Jill Suratt also having a double.
  • Baseball opener changes - Due to the weather, Head Coach Lacey has had to make a couple of changes to the schedule for the EvCC Tournament on March 2-4, 2012. There will be no game on Friday night. Saturday's game times are: 1pm - EvCC v Shoreline CC; 4pm - Vancouver Island University v Shoreline CC; 7pm - EvCC v Vancouver Island. Sunday's game times are: 10am - EvCC v Vancouver Island; 1pm - Vancouver Island v Shoreline CC; 4pm - EvCC v Shoreline CC. All games will be played at the Everett Memorial Stadium.

Winter 2011-12

  • Congratulations - With the end of the 2011-12 Basketball seasons come the regional coaches votes for 1st Team, 2nd Team and All-Defensive Team for each region. Women's Basketball sophomore Tessla Rennie was named to the NWAACC Northern Region 1st Team and the All-Defensive Team while teammate sophomore Alexis Edwardson was named to the NWAACC Northern Region 2nd Team. Men's Basketball sophomore Devin Andrews was named to the NWAACC Northern Region All-Defensive Team.
  • Softball in pre-season tournament - The Trojan Softball Team will travel to Richland, WA to participate in the Pre-season Tournament hosted by Walla Walla CC on March 3rd & 4th.
  • Baseball Opener - This upcoming weekend - March 2-4, there will be 6 games at the Everett Memorial Stadium for the EvCC Tournament. On Friday the 2nd, the game is at 7pm. On Saturday, there will be three games with the first one starting at 1pm then 4pm and 7pm. On Sunday there will be two games at 10am and 1pm.
  • Final Basketball Game results of 2011-12 - Saturday, February 25th the Trojan Basketball Teams finished their 2011-12 seasons by hosting the Rangers of Olympic College. The Women's game began at 4pm and the Men's game followed at 6pm. In the Women's game - the first half was dominated by the Trojans they outscored the Rangers 29-18 at half time. They also had the largest lead in the first half of 15 points. There were 5 lead changes in the game and 4 ties. In the second half, the Rangers came out to play. They outscored the Trojans 32-23. However, the Trojans kept the lead at the end and won the game 52-50. Highs for the Women: Tessla Rennie - 20 points, 8 rebounds, 3 blocked shots; Alexis Edwardson - 19 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists; Mindy James - 7 rebounds, 6 assists. This win gives the Women a 7-9 league record and a 8-16 overall record. They finish tied for 5th place in league. The Men's game for the most part was a back and forth game all game. There were 4 lead changes and 6 ties with the largest point margin being in the second half and it was 14 points. At half time the score was 33 Trojans 37 Rangers. In the second half - the teams were about even in regards to their shooting percentages and such. It came down to the final seconds of the game to determine the winner. The Trojans had a chance to win it at the buzzer, but the shot was missed and the Rangers won 85-84. Highs for the Men: Zach Cooper - 16 points, 5 assists; Devin Andrews - 15 points, 6 rebounds; Flynn Mattson - 11 points, 13 rebounds; Daniel Wruble - 11 points, 5 assists. This game gives the Trojan Men a 2-14 league record and a 5-21 overall record for the season.
  • Trojan Basketball & Hope 4 Hoopers - EvCC Trojan Basketball is honored to be able to help out with the organization - Hope 4 Hoopers. This is an organization that was co-founded by a former Trojan Basketball player. They collect donated athletic shoes and then they donate them to athletes that cannot afford to purchase their own - both here in the US and overseas.
    We are hoping get the word out about the games on this upcoming Saturday - February 25th and the opportunity to help out athletes in need.
    The games will be played at the EvCC Student Fitness Center with the Women's game starting at 4:00pm followed by the Men's game at 6:00pm. The Trojans will be hosting the Rangers of Olympic College in the last home games and the last regular season games of the 2011-12 seasons. A donation of a pair of athletic shoes will give free entry into the games on Saturday the 25th. The more athletic shoes collected - the more athletes Hope 4 Hoopers will be able to help out. Men's, women's & children's sizes will all be accepted. 
  • Game results at Skagit - Wednesday February 22nd, the Trojans were in Mt. Vernon, WA to play the final away league games of the 2011-12 seasons against the Cardinals of Skagit Valley College. The Women's game was first, followed by the Men's game. In the Women's there were 7 lead changes, 4 ties and the largest margin was 37 points in the second half. The score at half time was EvCC 32 - Skagit 44. In the second half, the Cardinals extended their lead immensely, scoring 40 points to the Trojans 20, and winning the game 84-52. Team highs for the Trojans: Tessla Rennie - 20 points, 6 rebounds; Alexis Edwardson - 16 points. In the Men's game, the Trojans showed up to play and play they did. They scored 45 points in the first half to the Cardinals 26. There were only 1 tie and 1 lead change. The largest point margin was in the second half and it was 30 points by the Trojans. Even with the Cardinals outscoring the Trojans in the second half 48-45, the Trojans definitely came to win - winning 90-74. Team highs for the Trojans: Zach Cooper - 16 points; Darren Briggs - 13 points, 7 rebounds; Devin Andrews - 10 points, 8 rebounds, 8 blocked shots.
  • Last Home Basketball Games - Saturday February 25th, is the final games for the 2011-12 Men's & Women's Basketball Teams. The Trojans will host the Rangers of Olympic College. Starting off the night will be the Women's game and it will start at 4:00pm. The Men's game will begin after the Women's game at 6:00pm. Before each game the Trojans will do a thank you to the 2011-12 sophomores and their families for their dedication and support for the past two years. Games will be played at the EvCC Student Fitness Center. Admission is $5.00 per person. EvCC Students, Staff & Faculty with current EvCC ID are free. Also - FREE Admission with the donation of a pair of athletic shoes.Results from EvCC @ BC - Monday February 20th, the Trojans were in Bellevue, WA playing league games at Bellevue College. The Women's game began at 5:30pm. Going into the game, the Bulldogs of Bellevue College were tied for 1st place in the Northern Region. However, after the game, they had fallen back into the 2nd place due to the Trojans beating them 59-57. This game was definitely a back and forth game. There were 11 lead changes and 12 ties in the 40 minutes of play, with the largest lead being only 8 points in the beginning of the game. The Trojans shot 50% from the field, 45.5% from 3-point range and 71.4% from the Free Throw line, while the Bulldogs were 42%, 9.09% and 82.4%. Team Highs for the Women: Tessla Rennie - 26 points, 10 rebounds; Alexis Edwardson - 11 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists; Shana Stewart - 11 points. In the Men's game, there were 8 lead changes, 5 ties and the largest margin was 17 points in the final minutes of the game. The Trojans gave a valent effort, unfortunately, the Bulldogs got that lead in the second half and refused to give it up, going on to win 90-73. The Men shot 47.6% from the field, 40.9% from 3-point range and 80% from the Free Throw line. Highs for the Men: Zach Cooper - 25 points, 4 assists; Devin Andrews - 15 points, 4 blocked shots; Denzel Daniels - 11 points; Darren Briggs - 10 points.
  • Everett @ Skagit Valley - The Trojan Basketball Teams will travel to Mount Vernon, WA on Wednesday February 22nd, to play league games against the Cardinals of Skagit Valley College.   • Congratulations - Trojan Athletics would like to congratulate Dorothy Voss for making her paper airplane into the basket at half time of the Men's game on Saturday February 18th. She will be entered into a drawing to win 2 free tickets from Alaska Airlines.
  • Game results vs Shoreline - Saturday February 18th, the Trojans hosted the Dolphins of Shoreline CC for league games. The Women's game started the night off, beginning at 4:00pm. There were 12 lead changes, 5 ties and the largest lead was 12 points towards the end of the game. At the end of the first half, the score was EvCC 24 - ShCC 25. Unfortunately for the Trojans, the Dolphins pulled ahead in the second half and stayed there, winning 67-56. Highs for the Women: Alexis Edwardson - 18 points, 7 assists; Tessla Rennie - 14 points, 9 rebounds; Mindy James - 13 points. The Men's game began at 6:00pm, and for the most part it was Shoreline's night. There were only 3 lead changes, 4 ties and the largest lead was 12 points and that was in the first half. The score going into half time was EvCC 48 - ShCC 54. In the second half, the Trojans definitely came out wanting to get the "W". However with about 8 or 9 minutes left in the second, there was a break in play as the officials requested a fan be escorted from the facility. Play did not resume until he was out of the gym. Once play started again, both teams were ball aggressive. Yet at the end of the 40 minutes of game play, the Trojans were behind 110-114. Team highs for the Men: Darren Briggs - 24 points, 10 rebounds; Daniel Wruble - 20 points, 10 rebounds; Denzel Daniels - 20 points; Deondre Martin - 15 points; Devin Andrews - 13 points, 14 rebounds, 9 blocked shots; Zach Cooper - 11 points, 16 assists.
  • Trojans @ Bulldogs - The Trojans will travel to Bellevue College on Monday February 20th to play the Bulldogs in league play. The night starts with the Women's game at 5:30pm and then the Men's game at 7:30pm. Directions to BC can be found under the directions link to the left.
  • 2nd Alaska Airlines Paper Airplane Toss - At half time of the Women's Game and the Men's Game on Saturday 2/18/12, there will be chances to win two tickets from Alaska Airlines. As fans enter the gym, they will be provided with a piece of paper that folds into an Alaska paper airplane and at half-time come down to the edge of the floor and try to toss (one time) an airplane into a basket placed at center court. Winners (planes in basket) will be entered into a drawing to win two Alaska Airline tickets. Names will be drawn at the end of the season by Alaska Airlines.   • EvCC @ Peninsula results - The Trojans traveled to Port Angeles, WA on Wednesday February 15th for league games with the Pirates of Peninsula College. The Women's game began at 5:00pm and it was a back and forth game for the full 40 minutes. However, at the end of the game, the Trojans just weren't able to make up the difference and lost by three points - 62-65. Mindy James had a great game for the Trojans - 16 points and 8 assists. Tessla Rennie had 17 points and 14 rebounds with Alexis Edwardson adding 11 points and Shana Stewart putting up 10 points. The Men's game followed at 7:00pm. While the Trojans weren't helping themselves out in the first half - only scoring 29 points to the Pirates 35, the officials definitely were not calling it both ways. The Trojans had 15 fouls in the game to the Pirates 8 - and four of those were in the last 36 seconds of the second half. The Trojans only shot 3 Free Throws in the game to the Pirates 18. Some calls were blantantly obvious and the officials let it go, yet if it benefitted the Pirates it was called. In the second half, the Trojans came out of half time ball aggressive, highly motivated and all out determination to win the game. They forced a number of Pirate turnovers in the start of the second half. Unfortunately, the Trojans weren't able to overcome the Pirates and the officials, losing 65-66. Highs for the men: Zach Cooper - 16 points; Flynn Mattson - 13 points; Deondre Martin - 10 points; Devin Andrews - 12 rebounds, 3 blocked shots.
  • Home Basketball Games - Saturday February 18th - the Men's & Women's Basketball Teams will host the Dolphins of Shoreline CC in league play at the Everett CC Student Fitness Center. Starting the night off will be the Women's game which will begin at 4:00pm. The Men's game will follow and start at 6:00pm. Admission is $5.00 per person except for EvCC Students, Staff & Faculty; they are free with current EvCC ID.

  • EvCC @ EdCC results - On the 8th of February, the Trojan Basketball Teams traveled to play league games at Edmonds CC in Lynnwood, WA. The Women began at 5:00pm and the Men followed at 7:00pm. In the Women's game - the Trojans dominated for the majority of the game. They outscored the Tritons 62-48 and had higher field goal percentage and free throw percentage - 38.5% FG; 75.0% FT. Highs for the Women - Alexis Edwardson - 23 points, 7 rebounds; Tessla Rennie - 15 points, 9 rebounds; Stephanie Zamudio - 8 rebounds. The Men's game was a battle. The Trojans started off slow - only scoring 25 points to the Tritons 43 in the first half. In the second half, the Trojans started slow - at one point being behind by 23 points before they came back to within 5 points - however, they lost by those 5 points - 74-79. Highs for the Men - Zach Cooper - 16 points; Daniel Wruble - 11 points; Austin O'Keefe - 10 points.
  • CANCELLED - Athletics 2012 Fundraiser - Saturday, February 11th, FightNightEntertainment presents Fight Night "Round XVII" Clash at the College - Pro-Am Mixed Martial Arts Competitions. This event will be held in the Everett CC Student Fitness Center - main gym, and starts at 7:30pm. Pre-sale tickets are only $20.00 and can be purchased at the gym from the front counter or from Larry Walker - Athletic Director. Tickets will be $25.00 at the door. Come out and support Trojan Athletics and watch some good MMA fights!

  • Game results from N.Seattle - On Saturday night (2/4), the Trojans were in Seattle, WA to play the Storm of North Seattle CC. These were league games for both the Men and Women. The Women's game started at 4:00pm, and while there were three ties, there were no lead changes as the Storm stayed ahead of the Trojans for the full 40 minutes. The Trojans did outrebound the Storm, but they sent them to the free throw line 28 times to the 19 times the Trojans were on the line. The Storm had better shooting percentages in field goal and 3-pointers, while Everett was 84.2% from Free Throw (16 for 19). This takes the Trojans to a 4-6 league record (tied with N. Seattle for 5th) and 5-13 overall record. Highs for the Women: Tessla Rennie - 24 points, 9 rebounds; Mindy James - 14 points; Alexis Edwardson - 9 points, 12 rebounds, & 5 assists; Stephanie Zamudio - 13 rebounds. The Men's game started at 6:00pm and at half time it was a tie game 33-33. There were seven ties and seven lead changes in the game, however N. Seattle came out in the second half and took control. They outscored the Trojans 52-34 in the second half, to win the game 85-67. The Storm also out rebounded the Trojans and only missed 1 Free Throw (25 for 26). The Trojans are now 1-9 in league and 4-16 overall. Game highs for the Men: Daniel Wruble - 13 points, 6 rebounds; Flynn Mattson - 12 points; Devin Andrews - 10 points, 6 rebounds, & 6 blocked shots; Darren Briggs - 8 points, 6 rebounds.
  • Trojans travel to Tritons - Wednesday February 8th, EvCC Basketball will travel to Lynnwood, WA to play the Tritons of Edmonds CC in league play.   • Results v Whatcom CC - Wednesday, February 1st, the Trojans hosted the Orcas of Whatcom CC in league play. This was the start of the second half of the 2011-12 season. The Women's game began the night. There were nine lead changes and two ties and even though the Trojans had a better Field Goal % and 3-point %, the Orcas outrebounded them 40-26. The Trojans lost 41-50. This takes the Women to a 4-5 league record and a 5-12 overall record, it also puts them into 5th place in the Northern Region. Highs for the Women: Tessla Rennie - 17 points, 11 rebounds, 4 steals; Alexis Edwardson - 10 points. In the Men's game that followed the Women's game, the Trojans stayed with the first place Orcas in the first half and in the second half. Unfortunately, the Orcas outscored the Trojans in each half 44-38 & 39-35 to win the game 83-73. This takes the Trojans to an overall record of 4-15 and a league record of 1-8.   • 6th Basketball NWAACC Coaches Polls - February 2nd, the NWAACC released the 6th Coaches Polls for Men's & Women's Basketball. On the Men's side - three of the top four are teams from the Northern Region: #2 Whatcom CC (up from #4); #3 Peninsula College (same); #4 Bellevue College (down from #1). Clark College from the West Region hold the top spot for the Men. On the Women's side - there is only one team from the Northern Region - Skagit Valley College in the #7 spot (previously not ranked). Bellevue College did receive votes, just not enough to make the top 8. Columbia Basin College from the Eastern Region is in the top spot for the Women. Everett's teams haven't made it into the top 8 as of yet. Next poll is to be released on February 15th.
  • 2012 Spring Sports - February 1st is the start date for the 2012 Spring Athletic Teams - Men's Baseball, Women's Softball, Men's & Women's Track & Field. The Trojans have a month to prepare with practices before the first contests of the 2012 seasons start. Baseball has their first games on March 2nd. Softball is in a pre-season tournament in Richland, WA on March 3rd & 4th. Track & Field has their first meet on March 10th @ PLU. Check out each of the teams schedules under their respective pages.
  • Basketball @ North Seattle - Saturday February 4th, the Trojans will be in Seattle, WA to play league games with the Storm of North Seattle CC. The Women's game begins at 4:00pm with the Men's game following at 6:00pm. Directions to North Seattle CC are located under the directions link to the left.
  • Basketball results v Olympic - Saturday afternoon, the Trojans took a ferry ride and traveled to Bremerton, WA to play league games at Olympic College. The Women's game was the first game of the day and started at 2:00pm. For the most part it was a close game throughout both halves - with six lead changes and six ties, however at the end of the game the Trojans were ahead of the Rangers 61-57. This win takes the Trojans to a 4-4 league record and a 5-11 overall record. Trojan highs: Alexis Edwardson - 19 points & 8 rebounds; Shana Stewart - 11 points; Caitie Arrigoni - 11 points; Tessla Rennie - 9 rebounds. In the Men's game that started at 4:00pm, there were three lead changes and four ties, however, the Rangers just had a better game than the Trojans winning 93-75. This takes the Trojans to a 1-7 league record and a 4-14 overall record. Highs for the Men: Austin O'Keefe - 24 points; Zach Cooper - 10 points; Daniel Wruble - 13 rebounds & 7 assists; Devin Andrews - 9 rebounds.
  • Trojans vs Orcas - Wednesday February 1st, the Trojans will host the Whatcom CC Orcas in league play. This is the start of the second half of the season for both teams. The Women's game will begin at 5:00pm and the Men's game at 7:00pm. The admission for the games is $5.00 per person except for EvCC Students, Staff & Faculty with current EvCC ID - they are free.
  • January's Alaska Airlines Paper Airplane Toss - Unfortunately there was no one that got their paper airplane into the basket at the half time toss in the women's and men's game. There were some close ones though. We will be doing another toss in February. Check back for the exact date.
  • Games vs Skagit results - On Wednesday, January 25th, the Cardinals of Skagit Valley College came to town to play the Trojans in league games. The Women's game started out close but then the Cardinals took a commanding lead that they never gave up, winning the game 70-54 over the Trojans. There were only 12 total fouls called in this game, which is low for college basketball. Game highs for the Trojans were: Tessla Rennie - 14 points, 12 rebounds; Mindy James - 12 points; Shana Stewart - 10 points, 5 assists. This loss takes the Trojans to 3-4 in league and 4-11 overall. In the Men's game it was the complete opposite, as the Trojans took the lead in the first half and never game it up. The Trojans got their first league win, beating the Cardinals 81-68. Game highs for the Trojan Men: Zach Cooper - 18 points, 5 assists, 6 rebounds; Austin O'Keefe - 16 points, 6 rebounds; Flynn Mattson - 14 points, 5 assists; Devin Andrews - 12 points, 9 blocks; Daniel Wruble - 11 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists.
  • Trojans travel to Bremerton - Saturday afternoon (Jan. 28th), the Trojans will travel to Bremerton, WA to play league games against the Rangers of Olympic College.   • Alaska Airlines Paper Airplane Toss - At half time of the Women's Game and the Men's Game on Wednesday 1/25/12, there will be chances to win two tickets from Alaska Airlines. As fans enter the gym, they will be provided with a piece of paper that folds into an Alaska paper airplane and at half-time come down to the edge of the floor and try to toss (one time) an airplane into a basket placed at center court. Winners (planes in basket) will be entered into a drawing to win two Alaska Airline tickets. Names will be drawn at the end of the season by Alaska Airlines. NWAACC will gather all information and provide a data sheet to Alaska Airlines for the drawing.

  • Make-up Basketball games @ Shoreline - Monday, 1/23/12, the Trojans traveled to Shoreline CC in Seattle, WA to play the make-up league games that were supposed to be played on Wednesday January 18th. The Women's game started the night off at 5:30pm, with the Men following at 7:30pm. In the Women's game, both the Trojans and the Dolphins were evenly matched. There were only 2 lead changes and 5 ties throughout the game with the largest lead being 9 points and that was early on in the game. The Trojans shot 38.2% from the field, 40.0% from 3-point range and 77.8% from Free Throw to beat the Dolphins 57-52. This win takes the Women to a 3-3 league record and a 4-10 overall record and has them tied with Whatcom CC for fourth place in the Northern Region. Highs for the Women: Shana Stewart had 20 points; Alexis Edwardson had 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists; and Tessla Rennie had 8 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 steals. In the Men's game, it was also a close game throughout the game, with 5 lead changes and 5 ties and the largest lead being 10 points. Even though the Trojans had higher percentages from the field, 56.7%, the 3-point range, 50.0%, and the Free Throw line, 88.9%, the Dolphins outrebounded them and outscored them by 5 to win 100-95. This takes the Men to 0-6 in league and 3-13 overall. Highs for the Men: Austin O'Keefe had 20 points, 9 rebounds; Flynn Mattson had 19 points; Daniel Wruble had 14 points, 7 rebounds & 7 assists; Devin Andrews had 12 points, 9 rebounds.
  • Trojans v Bulldogs results - The league games on Saturday 1/21/12 didn't fare so well for the Trojans. At almost 7 & 1/2 minutes into the Women's game, Gabrielle Redwine went down and broke her wrist - this was hard for the Trojans as usually Gabrielle is a key player/scorer for them. At the half, the Bulldogs were up 36-21 over the Trojans. Even though the Trojans had a better shooting percentage from the field than the Bulldogs in the second half (39.1% to 35.9%), the Trojans weren't able to pull it out, losing 44-73. This takes their league record to 2-3 and their overall record to 3-10. Highs for the Trojan Women: Alexis Edwardson had 13 points, 7 assists, & 5 steals; Tessla Rennie had 15 points and 5 rebounds, with Stephanie Zamudio and Shana Stewart each adding 5 rebounds. In the Men's game, there were 34 fouls called, 9 blocked shots and 45 turnovers. While the Trojans were 37.9% from the field, 31.3% from 3-point range and 72.7% from Free Throw, the Bulldogs were 46.4% from the field, 21.4% from 3-point range and 75.0% from the Free Throw line. Unfortunately, the Trojans lost 57-73. This takes the Trojan Men to 0-5 in league and 3-12 overall. Highs for the Trojans were: Austin O'Keefe with 16 points; Troy Toler with 13 points, and Devin Andrews with 10 points.
  • Basketball 5th NWAACC Coaches Polls - Wednesday January 18th, the NWAACC released the most current Basketball Coaches Polls. The Trojans haven't made it onto either poll as of yet, but there is still time. On the Men's Poll, three of the top four teams are from the Northern Region - #1 Bellevue College, #3 Peninsula College, #4 Whatcom CC. Bellevue stayed in the #1 spot from the last poll, with Peninsula moving down one spot, while Whatcom moved from 7th to 4th. On the Women's side, Bellevue College was the only Northern Region team in the top 8 and they had moved down 3 spots from 5th to 8th. Skagit Valley College did receive votes, but not enough to make the top 8. The next poll will be released on February 2nd.
  • Trojans to host the Bulldogs - Saturday, January 21st, the Trojans will host the Bulldogs of Bellevue College in league play. The Women's game will start at 4pm with the Men's game to follow at 6pm.
  • Basketball Games moved - Due to the weather, the basketball games that were to be played at Shoreline CC on Wednesday January 18th have been moved to Monday January 23rd. Game times will be 5:30pm for the Women's game and 7:30pm for the Men's game. Directions to Shoreline CC can be found under the directions link to the left.
  • EvCC results vs Peninsula - The Pirates of Peninsula College came to town on Monday and did they ever. In the Women's game, the Trojans only shot 19.7% from the field and 9.09% from three point range. The Pirates won in a landslide 85-30 over the Trojans. Tessla Rennie had team high of 10 points and 8 rebounds for the Trojans. The Men's game fared a little better for the Trojans. They were 43.7% from the field and 25.8% from three point range and came back from a 25 point deficit. Trojan point guard Zach Cooper went out of the game in 6 minutes due to a concussion. Unfortunately, the Pirates were just too much for the Trojans and outscored them 99-81. Team highs for the Trojans were: Daniel Wruble with 15 points, 9 rebounds & 6 assists; Denzel Daniels with 14 points; Flynn Mattson with 14 points and 7 rebounds; Austin O'Keefe with 11 points.

  • Trojan Basketball - Even though Monday, January 16th is a Holiday - the Trojans will host the Pirates of Peninsula College in league play. Tip off for the Women's game is at 4pm and the Men's at 6pm.
  • EvCC v EdCC results - In the Women's game on the 11th of January, the Trojans started out strong and finished strong. In the first half, the Trojans outscored the Tritons of Edmonds CC 63-31, and in the second half only let the Tritons score 14 to their 35 to win the league game 98-45. Alexis Edwardson had 31 points for the Trojans, while Tessla Rennie added 16 points and 11 rebounds; Shana Stewart added 15 points and 7 assists; and Gabrielle Redwine added another 15 points. In the Men's game, the Trojans went into half time with the lead 41-34, however they let the Tritons take the lead in the second half and only scored 29 to the Tritons 44, thus losing the game 70-78. Troy Toler had a great game with 21 points while Austin O'Keefe added 19.

  • Results of EvCC v NSCC - The Women's game against the Storm of North Seattle CC was a close game. There were 5 lead changes and 2 ties. At half time the Trojans were behind by two points 35-37, however they outscored the Storm 36-33 in the second half to win the game by one point - 71-70. Gabrielle Redwine had 28 points; Alexis Edwardson had 13 points and 9 rebounds; Tessla Rennie had 11 points and 10 rebounds and Mindy James had 10 points and 7 rebounds. The Men's game was all Storm. The Storm scored 44 points in each half to the Trojans 35 in the first and 31 in the second; beating the Trojans 88-66. Daniel Wruble had 14 points for the Trojans while Austin O'Keefe added another 12 points.

  • Trojan Basketball @ Home - Saturday, January 7th, the Trojans will host the Storm from North Seattle Community College in league games. The Women's game will start at 4pm followed by the Men's game at 6pm. As of right now, both Men's & Women's teams for each school are 0-1 in league. Everett lost to Whatcom CC on the 4th while North Seattle lost to Peninsula College. Admission is $5.00 per person except EvCC Students, Staff & Faculty with EvCC ID - they are Free!
  • 4th NWAACC Basketball Coaches Polls - January 4th, the NWAACC released the most current Coaches Polls for Men's Basketball & Women's Basketball. On the Men's side, the top two spots were Northern Region Schools - #1 Bellevue College an #2 Peninsula College. Whatcom CC moved down two spots to the #7 spot. On the Women's side, only Bellevue College made it into the top 8 for the North. They moved down two spots to #5. Everett Men & Women didn't make either of the top 8, however there is still lots of time for them to break into the poll. Complete poll results are under the Athletics Blog. The next poll is set to be released on January 18th.
  • 1st League Games of 2011-12 - Last night in Bellingham, WA the Trojans took on the Orcas of Whatcom CC in the first league games of the 2011-12. The Women started the night with tip-off at 5pm. Unfortunately it was a rough night for the ladies as they were behind the Orcas the whole game - losing 41-69. This takes their record to 0-1 in league and 1-8 overall. Highs for the Trojans were: Gabrielle Redwine with 15 points and 8 rebounds; Tess Rennie with 8 points and 6 rebounds. In the Men's game that started at 7pm, there were 2 ties and 3 lead changes. The Trojans came back from a 17 point deficite to come with 2 towards the end of the game, however the Orcas pulled away and won by ten 82-72. This loss gives EvCC a 0-1 league record and 3-8 overall record. High's for the Everett were: Daniel Wruble with 24 points and 8 rebounds; Zach Cooper with 16 points; Devin Andrews with 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. Next league games are this upcoming Saturday - Jan 7th at the EvCC Student Fitness Center. Women begin at 4pm and the Men follow at 6pm.
  • Men's Holiday Tournament results - Wednesday December 28th, the Trojan Men's Basketball team traveled down to Oregon City, OR to participate in the Clackamas CC Holiday Tournament. Their first game was against the Warriors of Walla Walla CC at 5pm. Shooting 52.4% as a team and 76.0% in free throws, the Trojans out scored the Warriors 89-84. This win moved them onto the winner's side of the bracket and their next opponent was to be Clackamas CC at 7pm on the 29th. Team highs for the Trojans were: Austin O'Keefe - 24 points; Daniel Wruble - 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists; Flynn Mattson - 13 points, 6 rebounds. In the first half of the Clackamas game, the Trojans weren't able to stop the Cougars as they were outscored 19-44. However, in the second half, the Trojans fought back outscoring the Cougars by 6, however it wasn't enough for the Trojans to be on the winning end of the result. Final score was 60-79. This loss moved the Trojans into the game for 3rd and 5th against the Titans of Tacoma CC. Game highs for Everett were: Deondre Martin - 16 points; Zach Cooper - 10 points; Darren Briggs - 7 points, 10 rebounds. The game against Tacoma was at 1pm on the 30th. The winner would take 3rd place and the loser would take 5th place in the tournament. There were 14 lead changes and 4 ties in this game. Unfortunately, the Trojans lost 71-80 and took home 5th place honors. Game highs were: Austin O'Keefe - 22 points; Deondre Martin - 14 points; Daniel Wruble - 7 rebounds, 3 assists. Austin O'Keefe was named to the Clackamas CC Holiday All-Tournament Team.
  • 2011-12 League play begins - On Wednesday January 4th, 2012 the Trojan Basketball Teams will travel to Bellingham, WA to play the first league games of the 2011-12 seasons against the Orcas of Whatcom CC. Directions to WCC can be found under the directions link to the left.
  • M. BKB Crossover results - At the Centralia College Crossover, the Men faced the host team in the first game at 8pm on Friday December 16th. Freshmen Zach Cooper, Darren Briggs and Flynn Mattson lead the Trojans in points with 12, 10 & 11 while Sophomore Devin Andrews had 12 rebounds. At one point the Trojans were down 10 points to the Trailblazers, however they came back and with 3.1 seconds left they were down 1. Due to the clock starting too early, an inadvertant horn, and an unusal foul, the Trojans weren't able to get past the Trailblazers - losing 60-63. This sent them to the 4pm game on the 17th against the Roadrunners from Linn-Benton CC. The Trojans lead the whole game, even leading by 12 points at one time. They also had four players with points in the double digits and Devin Andrews having a double-double in points (16) and rebounds (12). Austin O'Keefe had team high with 24 points, followed by Devin, and Daniel Wruble with 14 and Flynn Mattson with 12. The Trojans sent the Roadrunners home with a loss, beating them 83-81. In their third game at the crossover, the Trojans faced the Saints of Mt. Hood CC at 12 pm on Sunday the 18th. Unfortunately, the Trojans weren't able to continue on from Saturday. They only had two players in double digits for points - Austin O'Keefe with 19 and Flynn Mattson with 13. The Trojans lost 68-84 to the Saints, thus taking home 6th place in the tournament. These games give the Trojans an overall record of 2-5.
  • W. BKB Crossover results - In the first game of the Clark College 2011 Crossover, the Trojans faced the Saints of Mt. Hood CC. It was a close game, with ten lead changes, however the Saints out rebounded and out scored the Trojans to win 68-62. Top players for the Trojans were Gabrielle Redwine with 19 points and 4 steals along with Tess Rennie with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 steals. This loss put the Trojans in the 2pm game against the Blue Mountains CC Timberwolves in a loser out game. Even with the 19 points from Gabrielle Redwine and the 18 points from Tess Rennie, the Trojans weren't able to get the "W". The Timberwolves won 76-51 thus sending the Trojans home from the tournament. This take the Trojans overall record to 1-7.
  • Men's Basketball in the Clackamas CC Holiday Tournament - After Christmas, while most will be relaxing with family and friends, the Trojan Men's Basketball Team will be competing in the Clackamas CC Holiday Tournament in Oregon City, OR. This tournament will take place December 28th - 30th. The Trojans first game is at 5pm against the Warriors of Walla Walla CC. The second game could be at either 3pm or 7pm on the 29th against either Blue Mountain CC or Clackamas CC.
  • 3rd Basketball NWAACC Coaches Polls - On December 14th, the NWAACC released the most current Coaches Polls for Men's & Women's Basketball 2011-12 seasons. The top spot on both polls switched hands as Peninsula College on the Men's side went from 1st to 3rd and CC's of Spokane moved up to the #1 spot from their previous #2 spot. On the Women's side, the previous #1 - Yakima Valley CC moved down to the #7 spot and Clackamas CC moved into the #1 spot from their previous spot of #2. Neither Everett team was listed, however the Northern Region was well represented as the Men had 3 teams in the top 8 and the Women had 1 in the top 8 and 1 receiving votes. The next poll is set to be released on January 4th, 2012.
  • MBB & Grays Harbor game results - Saturday, Dec, 10th the Grays Harbor College Chokers came to town to play a non-league game with the Trojans. The game started at 5pm and with only 2 lead changes and the largest lead of 19 points the Trojans won their first game of the 2011-12 season. Shooting 39.7% from the field the Trojans won 74-62. The Trojans also had four players in double digits in points - Jake Mattson 18; Austin O'Keefe 14; Darren Briggs 11; and Flynn Mattson 10.
  • 2011 Basketball Crossovers - The 2011 Men's & Women's Basketball Crossover dates are Friday - Sunday December 16-18. The Men will travel to Centralia College in Centralia, WA while the Women will travel to Vancouver, WA to Clark College. On the 16th, the Men will face the Trailblazers of Centralia College at 8pm and the Women will face the Saints of Mt. Hood CC at 4pm. How each team does in their first game will determine when they play on the 17th, and depending on the outcome of another game will determine their opponent on the second day. The Trojans must win on either the 16th &/or the 17th to play on the 18th.
  • Men's Basketball host Grays Harbor College - On Saturday, December 10th, the Chokers of Grays Harbor College will travel to Everett to play a non-league game with the Trojans. Tip-off set for 5pm at the Student Fitness Center. Admission is $5.00 per person - except EvCC Students, Staff & Faculty with EvCC ID - they are free.
  • Trojan Mens' results from LCC non-league - Sunday December 4th had the Red Devils of Lower Columbia College arriving in Everett to play the Trojans in a non-league game starting at 4pm. Even with the double-double from freshman Darren Briggs (17 points, 10 rebounds) the Trojans were unable to beat the Red Devils, losing 53-66. Trojan freshman Zach Cooper had 10 points and 5 steals.
  • Women's Basketball results from Bellevue College Tournament - December 2nd the Trojans faced the Thunderbirds from Highline CC on the first day of the Bulldog Classic. Even with 20 points from Gabrielle Redwine, 12 points from Michelle Lipscomb and 11 points from Alexis Edwardson, the Trojans were unable to beat the Thunderbirds, losing their first game 62-80. This put them in the 1pm game on Dec 3rd against the Riverhawks of Umpqua CC. The Trojans had three with points in the double digits - Gabrielle Redwine 40, Alexis Edwardson 27 and Mindy James 15. Unfortunately, the Trojans were outscored 110-98. This second loss in the tournament was their exit.
  • WBB @ Pierce results - In the non-league game at Pierce College, the Trojans outscored the Raiders in the second half 39-29, however, the Raiders outscored the Trojans in the first half 42-26 giving them the win 71-65. Gabrielle Redwine had 27 points, while Alexis Edwardson had 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the Trojans.
  • NWAACC 2nd Basketball Coaches Poll - Wednesday November 30th, the NWAACC released the second Coaches Polls of the 2011-12 season for Basketball. On the Men's side - there was a lot of changes in the top 8 except Peninsula College, which stayed in the top spot. Bellevue College moved up to the #3 spot and Whatcom CC & Shoreline CC both received votes. For the Women - again there was a lot of movement except for the top spot which Yakima Valley CC kept. Bellevue College moved up to tie for the #4 spot and Skagit Valley College and Whatcom CC both received votes. The next poll is to be released on December 14th.   • M. BKB host Lower Columbia College - On Sunday December 4th, the Trojans will host the Red Devils of Lower Columbia College in a non-league game. Game is set to start at 4pm.
  • Women's Basketball to participate in the Bellevue College Tournament - December 2nd - 4th the Bellevue College Bulldogs will be hosting the Bulldog Classic in Bellevue, WA. The Trojans first game is Friday December 2nd at 2pm vs Highline CC. Depending on how the Trojans do will determine what time they play on Saturday with an opponent yet to be determined. If they win they play at 5pm on Saturday and if they lose they play in a loser out game at 1pm. Directions to Bellevue College are under the directions link to the left.
  • Women's Basketball vs Pierce College - Wednesday November 30th, the Trojans will travel to Lakewood, WA to play a non-league game with the Raiders of Pierce College. Game is set to begin at 7pm. Directions to the game can be found under the directions link to the left.
  • Men's Basketball @ LCC after Thanksgiving - The Trojan Men's Basketball Team traveled to Longview, WA to participate in the Lower Columbia College Red Devil Classic on Friday November 25th. In the first round the Trojans faced the Sasquatch of the Community College's of Spokane. The Trojans were out rebounded 37-56 by the Sasquatch and only made 19/24 from the Free Throw line while the Sasquatch were 26/34 from the Free Throw line. Spokane won the game 95-79. In the second game of the tournament for the Trojans, they faced the Lakers of Southwestern Oregon CC at 3pm on Saturday November 26th in a loser out game. Even though they had 56 rebounds to the 49 of the Lakers the Trojans had too many turnovers and missed free throws in this close game to beat them. The Lakers won 97-93, sending the Trojans home from the tournament.
  • 2011 Women's Classic All-Tournament Team - Congratulations to the following players for being named to the 16th Annual EvCC Women's Basketball Classic All-Touranament Team: #24 Claire Swayze - Tacoma CC; #12 Kersey Wilcox - Lane CC; #50 Tess Rennie - Everett CC; #42 Laikyn Brophy - CC's of Spokane; #12 DeMarea Caples - Bellevue College; #32 Sanda Milovic - Bellevue College; #5 Alicia Love - Linn-Benton CC and the MVP #44 Heidi Halemeier - Linn-Benton CC.
  • Final day of the EvCC Women's Classic results - In the first game of the final day of the 16th Annual Women's Classic at 12pm, it was the battle of the Titans; Lane CC Titans vs Tacoma CC Titans. Lane out rebounded Tacoma 59-44 to help them take 4th place in the tournament with a final score of 94-63. The 2pm game was for 3rd & 5th place between Everett CC Trojans and the CC's of Spokane Sasquatch. With out rebounding the Trojans 49-33 and making 28 of 58 shots, the Sasquatch easily take 3rd place with a score of 71-53 over the Trojans. The Championship Game began at 4pm and it was between the Bellevue College Bulldogs and the Linn-Benton CC Roadrunners. This was a close game with the Bulldogs shooting 41% making 23 for 56 while the Roadrunners only shot 29.8% making 17 for 57. The final score was 51-46 with the Bellevue winning the Championship Title.
  • Day 2 of Women's Classic results - Saturday afternoon the second day of the 16th Annual EvCC Women's Classic started with at 2pm with the Titans of Lane CC going against the Clippers of South Puget Sound CC. Unfortunately it was definitely the Titans day as they solidly beat the Clippers 96-44 to send the Clippers home. In the second game of the day at 4pm the Tacoma CC Titans played the Gators of Green River CC. Once again it was the Titans day as they sent the Gators home after beating them 83-48. The 6pm game was between the Bellevue College Bulldogs and the Community College's of Spokane Sasquatch. With the Bulldogs forcing 21 Sasquatch turnovers and shooting 26 for 60, the Bulldogs beat the Sasquatch 62-49 to advance to the Championship Game on Sunday. In the final game of the second day at 8pm, the Trojans of Everett CC faced the Roadrunners of Linn-Benton CC. This was the closest game of the day with the Roadrunners outscoring the Trojans 68-63 to advance to the Championship Game against Bellevue College.
  • Women's Soccer take 3rd place in NWAACC - On Saturday, November 19th, the first time that the Women's Soccer team makes it to the NWAACC Final Four, they take 3rd place. In their semi-final game with the Warriors of Walla Walla CC, the Trojans scored in the 21st minute, but the Warriors scored in the 15th, 55th & 74th minutes to win the game 3-1 and advance to the Championship Game with the Pirates of Peninsula College.
  • Day 1 of the 16th Annual Women's Classic results - Friday Nov. 18th was the first day of the 3-day 16th Annual EvCC Women's Basketball Classic in the EvCC Student Fitness Center. There were four games this afternoon/evening. The first game was at 2pm and it was between the Lane CC Titans and the Bellevue College Bulldogs. While the game was tied at half time 39-39, the Bulldogs ran away with it in the second half to win 87-74. The 4pm game was between South Puget Sound CC Clippers and the Community College's of Spokane. SPSCC had 7 people on their roster and with 2 of them fouling out pretty early in the game, it was hard for them to stay in the game. Spokane won 81-27. In the 6pm game, the Tacoma CC Titans faced the Linn-Benton CC Roadrunners. While it was somewhat close at the half, the Roadrunners came out strong the second half, outscoring the Titans 35-19 to win the game 69-41. In the final game of the night, Everett CC Trojans played the Gators of Green River CC at 8pm. The Gators had 33 turnovers which helped Everett to get the "W" 73-58. Day 2's matchups are: 2pm - Lane CC vs South Puget Sound CC; 4pm - Tacoma CC vs Green River CC; 6pm - Bellevue College vs CC's of Spokane; and at 8pm - Linn-Benton CC vs Everett CC. Admission is $5.00 per person/per day (12 years old and up). EvCC Students, Staff & Faculty are FREE with EvCC ID.
  • 1st Basketball Coaches Polls for 2011-12 - November 18th was the release date of the first NWAACC Coaches Polls for Men's & Women's Basketball. Neither Everett team was listed in the top 8, but there is still a lot of time left for them to break into the poll. On the Men's side, three of the top 8 are from the Northern Region with Peninsula College taking the top spot, followed by Bellevue College in 6th and Whatcom CC in 8th. On the Women's side, the North had two teams in the top 8 - Bellevue College in 7th and Skagit Valley College in 8th. The next poll is set to be released on November 30th.   • EvCC hosts 16th Annual Women's Basketball Classic - This upcoming weekend - November 18th - 20th, the Trojan Women's Basketball Team will be hosting it's 16th Annual Women's Basketball Classic. There will be 7 teams from around the NWAACC here in Everett to participate. They are: South Puget Sound CC, Bellevue College, Linn-Benton CC, Lane CC, Tacoma CC, Green River CC, and CC's of Spokane. This is a 3-day event with the Championship Game to be played on Sunday at 4pm. Friday & Saturday there will be 4 games each day and on Sunday there will be 3 games. Game times for Friday and Saturday are 2pm, 4pm, 6pm, & 8pm. Sunday's game times are 12pm, 2pm and 4pm. The first day match ups are: 2pm Lane CC vs Bellevue College; 4pm CC's of Spokane vs South Puget Sound CC; 6pm Linn-Benton CC vs Tacoma CC; 8pm EVERETT CC vs Green River CC. Admission is $5.00 per person/per day (12 years old and up). EvCC Students, Staff & Faculty are FREE with EvCC ID.
