National Day of Silence Observation - All Day

Friday, April 11, 2014, is the official National Day of Silence, a student-led action sponsored by Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network’s (GLSEN) in which thousands of students around the country will remain silent for all or part of the school day to call attention to the harassment and discrimination faced by LGBTQIA + community (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, Asexual/Agendered/Aromantic, +).

EvCC students will be observing the National Day of Silence on Thursday, April 10, 2014, by taking a day-long vow of silence to symbolically represent the silencing of the LGBTQIA+ youth.
