Shaun Boothe: The Unauthorized Biography Series

Let the music speak! Come and enjoy a hip-hop music performance by Shaun Boothe, award-winning artist, TEDx speaker and creator of ‘The Unauthorized Biography Series’. ‘The Unauthorized Biography Series’ is a critically award acclaimed musical project that celebrates the world’s greatest cultural icons through biographical rap songs—Repackaging History through Hip-Hop. Shaun performs the series in chapters; each chapter of the series captures the legacy of an influential iconic figure in a documentary-style music video. The icons featured in the series include Bob Marley, Muhammed Ali, Malala Yousafzai, Terry Fox, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Oprah Winfrey, Barak Obama and more. Come join this intimate setting and immerse yourself in a powerful performance by Shaun Boothe and learn about some incredible figures, past and present history. Black Legacy Month is a time to come together and celebrate those who have paved the way for our world today. This event isn’t just a musical performance, this is an experience!

The week before the event there will be a scavenger hunt. Any currently registered EvCC student can participate and win a goodie bag (Student LIFE employees not eligible to win)! There will be pictures of 4 cultural icons hidden around campus in random places. If you find one, redeem it in Student LIFE, PSU 209 and you will be able to pick up your goodie bag at the event.
