Free Ryan Murray Bobble Head for the first 750 people through the main entrance on game night!
Student Programs Board and The Paperclip present our EvCC Silvertips Hockey Game Night. Join the Everett Silvertips as they take on the Tri City Americans in a night of hardcore hockey and lots of entertainment. Tickets go on sale starting at the beginning of the quarter and they will be sold in the Paperclip (Parks 203) and at tables in the Parks hallway throughout the quarter. Tickets will be $10 for students and $15 for staff, faculty, and guests. Current EvCC Student ID is required for purchase of discount tickets.
This fun, family friendly event will take place on Friday, February 1, 2013. Welcome to SUCCEED: SnoCo Diversity Exchange!
HR professionals, hiring managers, executives, and department leaders from around Snohomish County and surrounding areas, gather to hear valuable information on diversity topics. These topics will center around current workplace best practices that can be passed along to other staff in order to ensure a positive culture which embraces workplace diversity. These workshops may be eligible for recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute.
Top level job candidates will also present one minute "live resumes" to showcase the skills and talents they bring to employers. Each candidate is pre-screened by an employment or career specialist, referred to our live resume coordinator, then put through a preparation workshop to make sure they have clear employment goals, are able to market the outstanding skills they offer, and tell employers how they will be a great fit for companies looking for their talents!

She is an ambassador for healing and a voice for those who’ve struggled in search of the past, and continue to struggle through the present. Dr. Joy is the acclaimed author of Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome —America’s Legacy of Enduring Injury and Healing, Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome: The Study Guide , with a second book in the works , Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome Part 2: Be The Healing. Through lectures, workshops, seminars and special guest appearances, Dr. Joy has shined a light on the critical issues affecting society. Those who have experienced Dr. Joy in person, can tell you that they have been “stimulated, enlightened and inspired.” Dr. Joy’s seminars have been lauded as the most dynamic and inspirational currently being presented on the topics of culture, race relations and contemporary social issues. Dr. DeGruy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications; two Master degrees in Social Work and Clinical Psychology; and a PhD in Social Work Research. Feeling spacey in the thick of Winter quarter? Student Programs Board is proud to present Everett Community College’s 'Rock-It To The Moon!' dance- a galactic escape from the mid-winter blues!
February 22nd's 'Rock-It To The Moon!' dance will play host to renowned video DJ Beat a Maxx, visiting the USA all the way from London. Beat a Maxx will launch the evening with a supernova of sound! Students and their friends are invited to dress in their favorite cosmic clothing (Storm Troopers welcome) and enjoy an electronic evening of digital dance music and video! Complimentary candy and water will be provided, flashing light sticks will be sold on the dance floor for $1 each, a mid-evening dance-off is planned, and all attendees are invited to visit the photo booth for a complimentary photo that will be available for download on the EvCC Student Activities Facebook page after the dance. Please remember, EvCC events are drug and alcohol free zones.
Students who visit the Student Programs Board booth during Valentine’s Day Club Fest (February 14th in Parks Student Union) are eligible to enter a raffle (student ID # required to enter). Raffle winners will be drawn at the dance; ticket-holders must be present to win!

Student Activities Office Programs Board would like to invite EvCC Students and the surrounding community to attend a presentation by Marc Elliot.
Marc Elliot knows the importance of understanding people's differences. He was born with a rare disease that left him with virtually no intestines, and at age nine, he developed a neurological disorder called Tourette's syndrome. After only speaking for a year and a half, Marc was named 2011 College Speaker and Diversity of the year by campus activities magazine. He has shared his message with hundreds of thousands of people on one simple topic -- tolerance. He lives in New York City, loves dancing, and his favorite animal is the penguin!

Students are constantly under stress, and while some stress might keep you going, too much is bound to hurt! Therefore, Student Activities Programs Board would like to invite the Everett Community College Student Body to a fun, relaxed activity: coloring. Color me Calm will offer free coloring pages and the use of doodling supplies to EvCC students, giving them an opportunity to de-stress between and after classes. In addition to fabulous coloring, color me calm will also offer free granola bars – a healthy, on-the go snack.
The event will be held in Greywolf Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on February 27th Admission is free, so bring a friend!

Student Activities Programs Board would like to invite the Everett Community College Student Body, as well as the surrounding community, to the quarterly Health and Wellness Fair. This fair will feature expositions from EVCC Nursing students, as well as non-profit health organizations from and around the Everett community. Presenters will hold informational tables, providing information, literature, and/or suggestions to improve the overall health knowledge of the community.
This specific Health and Wellness Fair is special in that it is the culminating event of EvCC’s new Wellfest Week. The event will be held in Jackson Center Wilderness Auditorium from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on February 28th Admission is FREE, so bring a friend!
