Wellfest Event- Speaker: Marc Elliot "What makes you Tic?"
Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 11:30am - 12:30pm
Location:
Jackson Center
Student Activities Office Programs Board would like to invite EvCC Students and the surrounding community to attend a presentation by Marc Elliot.
Marc Elliot knows the importance of understanding people's differences. He was born with a rare disease that left him with virtually no intestines, and at age nine, he developed a neurological disorder called Tourette's syndrome. After only speaking for a year and a half, Marc was named 2011 College Speaker and Diversity of the year by campus activities magazine. He has shared his message with hundreds of thousands of people on one simple topic -- tolerance. He lives in New York City, loves dancing, and his favorite animal is the penguin!
Please join us in Jackson Center at 11:30 AM, on Tuesday, February 26th, for this unique and exciting event, a part of EvCC’s new Wellfest Week.
For more information on this event, please contact Colton Colwell, Health/Wellness Coordinator, at (425) 388-9505 or SAO Advisor, Lindsay Hudson, at (425) 388-9508.
