What is eLearning?

Everett Community College offers a variety of courses outside the traditional classroom setting that may be taken in whole or part at a distance from the college campus. Whether you take one course or three courses a quarter, distance learning may be just what you are looking for.

eLearning is a way that allows you to fit college into a busy schedule. It also provides flexibility for students who commute, have full-time jobs, a family, or other responsibilities that make taking classes on campus difficult.

For more information about eLearning at Everett Community College please contact Barbara Hellstrom or Sara Frizelle at 425.388.9367, toll free 1.866.575.9027, or email us at elearning@everettcc.edu.

Am I ready?

arrow Plan to spend 10 to 15 hours on assignments per week for each course. Some courses also require you to attend a classroom session a few times during the quarter.

arrow Online classes require a high level of motivation and self-discipline, and you may spend more hours on coursework than you would if you took the same course in a classroom.

To determine if online learning is right for you, ask yourself these questions:
I can organize my time well, even when managing multiple
demands.
I have good reading and writing skills.
I use the Internet, e-mail and word processing software
regularly.
I can spend 10-15 hours a week on each class.
I enjoy working independently.
If you answered "yes" to most of these statements, online courses may be a good option for you.

How do I enroll in an online course?
arrow Registration policies for Distance/eLearning courses are the same as for on-campus courses. However, Distance/eLearning students may take advantage of the several services that reduce or eliminate the need to be on-campus to enroll.

arrow If you have not yet been admitted to the College you should submit an application for admission well in advance of the quarter you wish to start classes. Visit Enrollment Services' How to Apply page for information on completing the online application, or speak to someone in Enrollment Services (425) 388-9219.

arrow All new students should request an EvCC Student I.D. number from Enrollment Services. For more information, call Enrollment Services at (425) 388-9219 or visit the EvCC Enrollment Services webpage
