Everett Community College Hi-Q
Hi-Q is an academic competition that has been in Washington since 1976. In each competition, three local high school teams compete by answering questions from 13 categories. Points are accumulated throughout the season to determine which teams advance to the playoffs. Each year a champion is crowned! Take a moment to explore the website to learn more! Please contact Everett Community College if your school is interested in competing in the upcoming Hi-Q season. The season begins in January and ends in March. Any school in Snohomish, Skagit or Island counties is eligible to participate.
"Through Hi-Q, I've learned so many things that I wouldn't have bothered to learn otherwise, and I'll keep that knowledge throughout my life"
Joseph Lawrence, Marysville-Pilchuck H.S.
"Hi-Q is an amazing program. It is one of the few programs where students can be recognized for their academic abilities not just their athletic abilities. Being in HI-Q has been very challenging, especially because of the emphasis on academic excellence, but highly worthwhile. Looking back on my 3 years being involved in the program all I have is happy memories. My team may not have always won, but we always had fun. I am proud to say I have been involved in HI-Q for almost my whole high school career."
