Running Start

Running Start is a partnership between Everett Community College and public high schools. The program provides academically qualified Juniors and Seniors the chance to take college-level courses, tuition free, at any EvCC campus site. Participants may enroll as either full or part-time students. Running Start students can apply credits toward both high school graduation and future college degrees at the same time.

In 1990 EvCC was one of the first colleges in Washington to host the Running Start program. As the program has grown, over 800 students per year now participate in the program. EvCC is proud of the high quality educational experience and comprehensive services we offer high school participants. Our goal is to support the success of high school students who wish to accelerate their educational achievement.
