Welcome to the Testing Center
Plan ahead: GED testing will be given by appointment only
To schedule an appointment for GED testing, go to the online test appointment RSVP, come in person to the Testing Center in Glacier Hall, or call 425-388-9288. Compass placement testing will still be administered on a drop-in basis, No appointments will be needed for COMPASS placement testing. See our new COMPASS testing schedule below.
Placement Test/Skills Assessment
Our Placement Test is required for students new to Everett Community College who are taking more than 7 credits, or taking classes that have an English, Math, or Reading level prerequisite. The Reading, Writing and Math scores are also used for advising purposes.
If you are a returning EvCC student, have completed the placement testing within the past 2 years, taken classes here at EvCC and are returning after an absence of 3 or more quarters, you may not need to test. We would recommend that you speak with an Advisor prior to registering for classes. The Educational Planning Center is located on the 3rd floor of the Parks Student Union or you may contact them at 425-388-9339. New students, welcome to EvCC, returning students, welcome back!
Do I have to test? If you have attended another institution and earned 45 college level classes, completed college level English Composition and Intermediate Alegbra or completed placement testing at another institution within the past 3 years please read the information about alternatives, preparation, and sample questions.
New students should also complete orientation.
EvCC's Testing Center offers a variety of testing services. Students who need accommodation due to a disability must make special arrangements well in advance of testing. For information and assistance call 425-388-9288.
