Class Fees

When registering, check the Class Schedule for each class you will be taking and review the fee information for that course. The fees listed below are for your information. Fees are subject to change.

Computer Lab Fee

Classes that are taught in a computer lab setting will have a lab fee. Those are generally listed in the class schedule with each class.

Field Trip/Supply Fee

Some classes charge a supply or field trip fee. Those are listed in the class schedule with each class. Self-Support Classes charge a class fee instead of tuition. The college does not receive state funding for this type of class. Fees are listed in the class schedule with each class.

Hybrid Class Fee

Hybrid courses have some part of the in-class work replaced by on-line coursework. Students meet in class less time per week, and do more work online. This is generally NOT listed in the class schedule with the class, but all Hybrid classes have this fee, $2.50 per credit, built into them. Hybrid Classes are listed in the class schedule with the "HY" designation.

Example: A five credit hybrid class will have fees of $17.50 (tech fee) and 12.50 (Hybrid fee) = $30

Lab Fee

Science classes that have a lab (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Geology) will have a lab fee. Those are listed in the class schedule with each class.

Online Fee

Online courses are taught completely online. Occasionally, instructors will require an in-person meeting. This is generally NOT listed in the class schedule with the class, but all online classes have this fee,$2.50 per credit, built into them. Online classes are listed in the class schedule with the "OL" designation.

Example: A five credit online class will have fees of $17.50 (tech fee) + $12.50 (online fee) = $30

Self-Support 

A number of EvCC classes are "self-support" and do not utilize state funding to cover their instructional costs. Therefore, the regular tuition schedule does not apply to self-support classes.

Studio Fee

Art classes will have a studio or lab fee. Those are listed in the class schedule with each class. Photography, Graphics and Multimedia classes will have a studio or lab fee. Those are listed in the class schedule with each class.

Technology Fee 

This is a fee, $3.50 per credit up to $35.00 maximum per quarter, that every student pays, on all credit classes. Students voted to assess themselves this fee in 2004. It covers free transcripts, for students, open student computer labs, access to e-mail, wireless access and other technical upgrades. The Tech Fee account is managed by a student committee. Contact Student Government in the Parks Building for more information. This is generally NOT listed in the class schedule with any classes, all students are assessed this fee.

Student Campus Enhancement Fee

This is a fee. $5.00 per credit up to $50.00 maximum per quarter. This is a fee that every student pays on all credit classes. Students voted to assess themselves this fee in 2007. It covers Student Fitness Center access and other campus enhancement projects. The Student Campus Enhancement Fee account is managed by a student committee. Contact Student Government in the Parks Student Union for more information. This fee is generally NOT listed in the class schedule with any classes, all students are assessed this fee.

Web Enhanced

Web Enhanced courses are face-to-face courses that require the use of ANGEL or other web based tools. Web enhanced classes include a $2.50 per credit online fee beginning winter quarter 2011.
