The Snack and Chat is a chance for your voice to be heard and for you to make a difference, as you chat with student senate members, ambassadors or club members, you will learn about what is happening on campus and be able to let Student LIFE know what you would like to see on campus, and you get a free snack!

Different, Not Less: Autism Awareness

We are all Different, Not Less. The ASB Executive Council, Publicity Services, and Student LIFE Programs Board are pleased to have collaborated to bring the event Different Not Less to our campus. There will be a short video shown, 7 Degrees of Autism: Its Not Just Them, produced and presented by students like you, to bring awareness to autism, how it impacts everyone around us, and why misconceptions are so hurtful and dangerous. After the film there will be a discussion on the subject of autism as well as Q&A session lead by Nichols Eveland and Paul Curd, EvCC Counselor.

Computing & the Law with C.L. Lindsay

Attorney, author, and student advocate C.L. Lindsay is interested in one thing: helping college students understand the laws, and how they affect them. In 1998, Lindsay left his practice in New York City to found the Coalition for Student & Academic Rights (CO-STAR). Since then, he has built CO-STAR into a national student rights organization that helps thousands of college students with their legal problems, completely pro bono. Now, he is nationally recognized as one of the leaders in student rights and academic freedom.
