Humanities Alliance: Modern-Day Slavery

The Humanities Alliance, with the generous support of the Global Education Initiative, welcomes Robert Beiser, Executive Director of Seattle Against Slavery, who will discuss the global and local dimensions of contemporary human trafficking. Beiser will outline its links to many everyday consumer items—such as chocolate, coffee, and clothing—and suggest strategies for breaking our personal and collective ties to slavery. This event is free and open to the campus and the community.

American Public Works Association

Join APWA for a presentation/round table discussion with engineering professionals.  

The purpose of this organization is to stimulate continued interest in and understand of the dimensions of public works, and to guide students in he steps required to become a successful professional within the field of public works while promoting the better good for the society.
