Intersections: Queerness, Disability, Blackness and Sports, A talk by Dorian Taylor

You’re invited to a talk by Dorian Taylor on the intersections of queerness, disability, blackness and sports. The talk is to celebrate and honor Disability Awareness/ Disability History Month and National Coming out Day. 

Disability 101

Marisa Hackett will be covering the history of the Disability Rights movement and current Disability Justice movements as well as giving information on language and ableism, and disability stigma.

The Clothesline Project/ Domestic Violence Awareness Donation Drive

1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men will experience severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime. Any person, regardless of age, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, culture, religion, education level, marital status, or employment status can experience domestic violence. It is our responsibility to raise awareness about domestic violence in order to end this unnecessary evil, and The Clothesline Project is one way to raise awareness among the community.
