Funds for Faculty
The EvCC Faculty Development Committee distributes funds to full-time and associate faculty to help with costs of faculty development activities, such as professional conferences and training events. The grants of up to $1000.00 are available and distributed on a "first come, first served" basis. For more information please contact Committee Chair Anne Brackett abrackett@everettcc.edu.
Each year the EvCC Foundation dedicates dollars to support on-campus activities - these are the "educational programs and special projects" referred to in our mission statement. An application process takes place; grants are typically funded fall quarter with completion of projects done prior to June 30.
This year, the dollar amount available will be lower. We've experienced a decline in the endowment fund income that supports student scholarships, and business sponsorship revenue from Gusto! is down this year as well. Because student scholarships are the main priority of the Foundation, the decision was made to use around $6,500 of the $34,000 to go instead to fund student scholarships. That brings the dollars available down to around $27,500 for those of you keeping track of the math.
Attached is the form to use to request a grant. I know many of you rely on the support from the Foundation, and I'll continue to work with the Board to obtain additional funds, but right now we are still in a time where our income is down, thus the need to reduce expenses. I'd be happy to talk with anyone who has any questions. We'll try to get decisions on the grant requests made as early in November as possible.
Outcomes Assessment Fund
The Outcomes Assessment Committee has a small budget to underwrite instructional assessment projects or training. Contact Gary Newlin gnewlin@everettcc.edu in the English Department for more information.
