Celebrate Earth Week April 17-20 at EvCC! 

We are gearing up for our seventh annual Earth Week Celebration! Highlights for this year include our annual plant sale/swap with a visit from Ciscoe Morris (Gardening with Cicscoe), EV car show, solar array tours, and the vendor fair with live music.

You can win prizes and learn about our sustainability initiatives by participating in our Eco-Cache!

EvCC Earth Week Schedule 

Monday, April 17 - Thursday, April 20

Eco Cache Competition | 8:00 am-4:00 pm | Various locations
Do you enjoy scavenger hunts? This is the event for you! To kick-off our Earth Week Celebration, stop by Student LIFE and pickup the details for the Eco-Cache. Look for hints on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages to seek out various facts about EvCC's sustainability programs and initiatives. Once you've found the fact, bring it to Student LIFE and claim your prize!

Monday, April 17

Electric Vehicle Show | 10:30 am-1:30 pm | Grey Wolf Hall Breezeway
Are you interested in the latest developments in EV's? If so, be sure to check out this event, where the newest and best electric vehicles will be on display!

Solar Array Tours | 10:00 am-2:00 pm | Liberty Hall 
Did you know that Everett Community College has it's own 19 kilowatt solar array? Well now is your chance to SEE the rooftop solar project with a guided tour by Pat Snowden. Tours will take place at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, and 1:30 pm, each lasting roughly a half an hour. Contact Pat at psnowden@everettcc.edu to sign up, and remember that there is a limited number of spaces for each tour so you'd better do it quick! Make sure that you dress for the weather and wear the appropriate footwear (NO HEELS OR OPEN TOED SHOES ALLOWED).

 Plant Swap and Sale | 10:00 am-1:00 pm | Whitehorse Hall second floor critique space
 Come and join us with plants to trade and take home for free. The Students for Environmental Action Club will be partnering with us to  sell vegetable garden starts! All proceeds from the SEA Club plant sale will benefit our campus sustainability initiatives.

 Gardening with Ciscoe | Noon-1 pm | Whitehorse Hall second floor critique space (during plant swap/sale)
 Long a favorite of Pacific Northwest gardeners, Ciscoe Morris is a master gardener with a lot of style! Ciscoe will speak about gardening  in our environment and answer any questions you may have!

Electric Vehicle Show | 4:30 pm-6:00 pm | Grey Wolf Hall Breezeway

Wednesday, April 19

Sustainability Vendor Fair | 10 a.m. -1 p.m. | Parks Student Union second floor hallway
Come to PSU to enjoy live music and get the chance to speak with representatives from local and sustainable vendors and businesses and see their wares. The fair features low-cost, energy-efficient items for savings at home. 

Thursday, April 20

Free Electronics Recycling | 10:00 am-2:00 pm | Parking Lot F
3-R Recycling provides free recycling of computers, printers, cell phones and other electronics. Read which items are accepted

Eco Cache Ends | 8 a.m.-4 p.m. | Various locations
See above for details. The contest ends at 4 p.m. today or when the last fact is found, whichever is sooner.
