Adult Basic Education

Adult Basic Education (ABE) Program

Learn basic reading, writing and math. Class levels are math 1 through 4 and communication levels 2 through 4.
The Adult Basic Education (ABE) program offers low-tuition classes for students whose basic reading, writing, and
math skills are below ninth-grade level. These classes build basic skills that eventually lead to GED preparation. Classes are offered on the Everett campus during the morning, afternoon and evening hours, and in the evening
hours at Monroe and Arlington. Classes also meet during the morning hours at Tulalip Educational Center. All
students must take a placement test to determine what level they need to begin their studies.

In order to take ABE/GED classes at Everett Community College, you must sign up for one of our
orientations. Please call (425) 388-9291 or come to Rainier Hall, Room 227 after May 28th to sign up for orientation for Summer Quarter classes which begin on July 1st.
