
What is the GED?
The GED consists of five separate tests that assess the knowledge and skills equivalent to high school graduates in the following areas:
- Language Arts: Reading
- Language Arts:Writing
- Mathematics
- Science
- Social Studies
Passing the five GED tests is widely accepted for furthering your studies and career. The College's Testing Center offers the GED tests at regularly scheduled days and times. The Testing Center can be reached by dialing 425.388.9288.
Benefits to acquiring a GED Certificate include:
- Having a GED Certificate is accepted by most employers as an equivalent to a High School Diploma.
- It is accepted by most college admissions officers.
- A level of learning that meets or exceeds the performance of the top two thirds of U.S high school graduates if you acquire the GED.
The GED program at Everett Community College is located throughout Snohomish County. We have locations at Everett Community College, Tulalip Education Center, Park Place Middle School, and Westin High School.
