Volunteer Literacy Program

Volunteer Literacy Program (VLP)

The Volunteer Literacy Program trains volunteers to tutor students in basic reading, writing, math, and English language and communication skills. Students enrolled in ABE, ESL, or GED classes are eligible for tutoring. Students are scheduled with tutors on an individual basis for tutoring sessions. The Literacy Center has a library of instructional and reference materials, and students may request help with classwork. The Volunteer Literacy Program assists students in gaining the skills needed to succeed as family members, workers, and community members.
