EvCC Offers Tuition Waivers to the Families of Fallen Soldiers, Disabled Veterans

EVERETT, WA – Everett Community College has expanded its tuition aid for the families of military veterans.

The college is offering complete tuition waivers to the children and spouses of eligible veterans and National Guard members who were killed during active service. Tuition waivers are also available for the families of veterans who were totally disabled (100 percent disability), declared missing in action, or declared a prisoner of war during active military or naval service.

The tuition discount was adopted this month by EvCC’s Board of Trustees, following changes made to the veterans’ waiver by the Washington State Legislature.

The college is also continuing to offer a 25 percent reduction in state tuition and fees to eligible military veterans and National Guard members.

Current and new students should contact Everett Community College’s Veterans’ Coordinator at 425-388-9587 to determine their eligibility.
