The Everett Clinic Donates $20,000 for EvCC Student Scholarships
EVERETT, WA - The Everett Clinic Foundation has donated $20,000 to the Everett Community College Foundation for student scholarships.
The funds will provide fifteen scholarships in 2010-11, continuing The Everett Clinic's longtime support for EvCC students who are struggling to afford the cost of a college education.
"This donation makes it possible for students to complete their studies so they can help provide the healthcare this community needs," said EvCC Foundation president John Olson. "The Everett Clinic's investment in Everett Community College students is greatly appreciated."
Everett Community College expects to serve more than 20,000 students in 2010-11, and the need for scholarships and other support remains high, Olson said. The EvCC Foundation awarded 120 scholarships in 2009-10 and is working to increase that number.
The EvCC Foundation, in partnership with corporations, businesses, foundations, and individuals, is committed to continuing the college's tradition of serving as the region's leading provider of academic and technical education through support for college students and programs.
