EvCC Vice President Wins National Award for Support of Student Success

Christine KerlinEVERETT, Wash. – Everett Community College Vice President Christine Kerlin recently received the APEX Award from the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO).

The Achieving Professional Excellence (APEX) Award for Student Success, sponsored by Datatel+SGHE, recognizes one individual each year who enhances the administration and delivery of higher education through effective management and use of information, technology and services.

Along with the honor, Datatel+SGHE will donate $5,000 in Kerlin’s name to the Everett Community College Foundation scholarship fund.

Kerlin is vice president of the University Center of North Puget Sound and college strategic planning. She has worked at Everett Community College since 1996 and has previously served in various roles including director of registration and admissions, associate dean of enrollment services and vice president of enrollment management.

AACRAO is a nonprofit, professional association of more than 11,000 higher education admissions and registration professionals who represent more than 2,600 institutions and agencies in the United States and in over 40 countries around the world.

Kerlin will be recognized at the association’s annual meeting in Philadelphia in April.
