EvCC Celebrates Sen. Jackson's Centennial

EVERETT – Everett Community College joined the community-wide celebration of the life and legacy of Sen. Henry M. "Scoop" Jackson on May 31, which would have been Jackson's 100th birthday.

Everett Community College rededicated the newly remodeled Henry M. Jackson Conference Center on campus. EvCC faculty member and Jackson historian Dr. Tom Gaskin was the featured speaker. Anna Marie Lau­rence and Peter Jackson will announced the winner of the high school essay contest, and the bas relief of Senator Jackson was rededicated by members of the campus art committee.
