Kids' Basketball Camp July 9-13 at EvCC
EVERETT, WA – Everett Community College is hosting a basketball skills day camp July 9-13 for boys and girls ages 8-13.
At NBC Camps, players will work on ball handling, shooting, defense and overall understanding of the game. Training is 9 a.m.-3 p.m. daily at EvCC's Fitness Center.
The camp is limited to the first 50 students who register. The cost is $245 per camper, plus a $15 registration fee. Each camper should bring a basketball, sack lunch, water bottle or sports drink and a snack.
The camp will be taught by local coaches Darrell Walker, Kelli Hawkinson, Larry Walker and Julie Martin (see below for more information).

Coaches
Darrell Walker played college basketball at Everett Community College 1995-1997 and Eastern Washington University 1997-1999. He has been the co-head men's basketball coach at EvCC since 2002. He is a high school health/fitness teacher and has been associated with NBC Camps since 1982.
Kelli Hawkinson graduated from Marysville Pilchuck High school and went on to play two years of basketball for EvCC. She has coached many youth teams and currently coaches AAU basketball. She has been involved with NBC for the last 25 years as a camper, member of a European tour team and a coach.
Larry Walker coached 10 years at Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane, Wash. He just completed his 27th year at EvCC, where he is the college's athletic director and co-head coach for men's basketball. He has been involved with NBC Camps since 1978.
Julie Martin is a graduate of Marysville-Pilchuck High School, where she has been the head coach for the varsity girls' basketball program for 10 years. She played college basketball for Western Washington University, where she was a two-year starter and was named to the All-Regional tournament team as a senior. She grew up attending NBC Camps and has also coached at several camps.
