Everett Community College Adopts New Strategic Plan
EVERETT, Wash – Everett Community College has a new strategic plan to shape the college's future for the next three to five years.
More than 480 people who live and work in Snohomish County were involved with creating the plan, including business owners, community leaders and EvCC students.
"Everett Community College's plan answers the call for bold and innovative higher education and workforce training in Snohomish County to meet the needs of our students, our community and our business and industry partners," EvCC President David Beyer said.
The plan, unanimously approved by EvCC’s Board of Trustees July 17, focuses on five strategic priorities – student success; innovation and leadership; community connections and partnerships; cultural pluralism and global readiness; and resource stewardship.
The full plan, including EvCC’s new vision, mission, values and strategic priorities, is available at www.everettcc.edu/strategicplanning
The college is asking for comments about the plan via email at strategicplanning@everettcc.edu or on EvCC’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/EverettCC.
"We are committed to continuing the dialogue opened during this planning process, and we invite you to add your voice to the ongoing community conversation," Beyer said. "EvCC has provided relevant, affordable higher education in Snohomish County for more than 70 years. The energy, creativity and advocacy of our community will help EvCC build an even stronger future for us all."
