The Everett Community College Foundation’s April 21 community breakfast raised more than $90,000 to support student scholarships and college programs. More than 450 people attended the breakfast, which included recognition of student parents and the college’s Early Learning Center. The keynote speaker for the breakfast was former Washington state first lady Mona Locke.
“We asked community members and college employees to support students, and they very generously responded. The donations at today’s breakfast will quickly be put to work to help students stay in college and receive a high-quality education at EvCC,” said John Olson, executive director of the EvCC Foundation.
