Everett Community College student journalists win state, regional awards

Everett Community College student journalists and the college’s media organization, The Clipper, took home 30 awards in May for reporting, photography and design. EvCC earned 26 awards from the Washington Press Association, including winning the WPA sweepstakes category, and four from the Pacific Northwest Association of Journalism Educators. “This year’s students really stressed the importance of reader-focused, community journalism,” said Clipper faculty adviser T. Andrew Wahl. “It was an amazing team, and I was delighted to see both their approach and hard work recognized.”
