Feb. 16-March 13: See A History of Quilting in America at the Russell Day Gallery

Quilts from the La Conner Textile and Quilt Museum collection will be on display at Everett Community College’s Russell Day Gallery Feb. 16-March 13. The quilts are from 1835 to 1950 and include a variety of needlework techniques. Meet Kathleen Kok, curator of the La Conner Textile and Quilt Museum, and learn about the construction of quilts, how designs have changed and the ways quilters have used available materials at a reception 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 19 at the gallery.

See Mayhem: Hazards, Disasters, and Catastrophes of the Pacific Northwest at EvCC Oct. 27 to Dec. 5

See geologic images and displays about four types of hazards – landslides, earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis – at Everett Community College’s Russell Day Gallery from Oct. 27 to Dec. 5. The exhibit includes photos, physical displays and rock samples from each type of event, plus geologist tools and an emergency survival kit. A reception for the exhibit is 12:30-2:30 p.m. Oct. 30.
