Artwork created by Everett Community College students will be on display at EvCC’s Russell Day Gallery May 15 through June 9. The annual student exhibition includes the work of graduating and second-year students studying ceramics, interactive media, graphic design, painting, photography and printmaking. Many of the student artists will receive their Associate of Fine Arts degrees in June. Meet the artists during a public reception 12:30-2:30 p.m. May 18.

EVERETT, Wash. – Artist Keith N. Imus likes experimenting.

Artist Keith N. Imus likes experimenting. The retired Everett Community College art instructor’s work ranges from sumi ink drawings to stainless steel sculptures. He creates with acrylics, marble, bronze, oil paint, metal and words – authoring six books. EvCC’s Russell Day Gallery is showing a variety of Imus’ artwork Feb. 21-March 17. The public is also invited to a reception with Imus 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 23 at the gallery. Imus, of Seattle, has had artwork exhibited in Seattle, Bellingham, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Japan and Iran. He’s the author of the memoir “Isn’t Life Fun,” “IMUS/Art” coffee table book and the westerns “Outrage,” “Zero Smith,” “Cheyenne Williams” and Galway.

Visual artwork by 22 Everett Community College alumni will be on display at Everett Community College’s Russell Day Gallery March 30 to April 24. The exhibit includes a collection of work by graduates of EvCC’s art, photography and visual communications design programs from 1974-2013. Each former student will show selected pieces of their best professional or personal work done after graduating.
