Because our instructors are experts in their respective industries, they are able to share cutting-edge knowledge and practical know-how that can be immediately put to use in the workplace. Corporate Training Leadership Team
John Bonner | Vice President of Corporate & Workforce Training
John has worked in higher education to design and deliver training solutions for corporate clients for 20 years. His experience includes serving both small businesses and large Global Fortune 500 companies. "I chose this career because I have always loved learning, and because it's rewarding to see a training program we've designed for an employer positively impact its business and its employees." John leads the Everett Community College's Office of Corporate & Workforce Training, which includes EvCC's Advanced Manufacturing Training & Education Center (AMTEC), Aviation Maintenance Technician School, and the Corporate & Continuing Education Center (CCEC). John earned two master's degrees (Teaching and Public Administration) from the University of Washington, where he also designed and taught education programs for working professionals. Drawing on his experience in launching and operating a small business in Shanghai, China, John led the development of the Small Business Accelerator, a training and consulting program that helps entrepreneurs spur and sustain business growth. John serves on the Industry board for Economic Alliance Snohomish County, on the board for Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County, and enjoys spending time with his family, running, and travel.

Ray Kubista | Executive Director of Regional Training
Ray has lived in Western Washington for 40 years. During his 15 years of working in higher education, Ray has worked with large and small companies throughout the state of Washington and across the nation to deliver customized training designed to meet each company's individual needs. Training topics have included Project Management, Business Intelligence, Programming, MS Office, Leadership, Business Writing, Supply Chain, Six Sigma, and Interpersonal Communication. Ray graduated with a bachelor's degree in English from Western Washington University and a master's degree in Public Administration from Seattle University. He volunteered as an English instructor for over 2 years in the Peace Corps, and has served as the president and vice president of the Continuing Education Council. Ray believes that working in corporate training provides him the opportunity to work collaboratively with companies to directly address their workforce training needs. He has seen the effect training makes for both the employee and the company, and enjoys being part of the solution. In his free time, Ray enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and hiking. Ray serves as the main point of contact for business and industry training inquiries.

Kristen McConaha | Director of Professional Continuing Education
Kristen McConaha leads Corporate & Continuing Education Center's Professional Certificate Programs, Next Level Leadership Institute, Bachelor of Management in Organizational Excellence, Small Business Accelerator, Personal Interest Classes, Marketing, and Operations. Her experience in higher education began in 1999 and she has served the community by building programs for the local and global community. Prior to coming to Everett Community College, she worked on programs and projects in higher education spanning american business practices for international delegations, workplace health and safety, small business start-up, design and art, project management, human resources management, technical writing, real estate, leadership, grantwriting, and a host more of topics. Current specialty projects include major initiatives with industry standard providers and a large aerospace company in the local area. She has a bachelor's degree in Administrative Management from Central Washington University and has completed several industry standard programs in project management, leadership and communication. She has taught dance, swimming and computer applications in the past and currently enjoys spending time with her family and serves on the Economic Alliance Snohomish County Small Business Board.

Lisa Jameson | Training Delivery Manager
Lisa has been a part of Operations and Training for nearly 20 years. She worked in Corporate Veterinary Medicine in Regional Operations and Training. After retiring from Veterinary Medicine, Lisa spent time with her growing family. After initially working as a Program Manager with CCEC Operations, she is currently working as a Training Delivery Manager in Aerospace and Manufacturing and Contract Training. One of the most gratifying parts of Lisa's job is being able to work closely with companies and individuals to create training plans that meet their unique needs. Although Aerospace and Manufacturing is her focus area, she has developed training plans with topics in Lean Six Sigma and Process improvement, Project Management, Supervision and Leadership, Communication, Supply Chain Management, GD&T, Blueprint Reading and IPC Certifications. Lisa grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated with a Psychology degree from the University of Arizona. She has done training in Communication, Customer Service and Leadership and is always looking to continuously improve.

Laura Baker | Employment Solutions Manager
Laura is the Employment Solutions Manager at Everett Community College. She shares office time between EvCC Corporate & Continuing Education Center (CCEC) and the EvCC Advanced Manufacturing Training & Education Center (AMTEC). Her focus is leading the EvCC employment facilitator team, and connecting college faculty and leaders to industry partners to identify opportunities for contract training, internships, scholarships, and jobs. Laura has a Masters Degree in Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Education with a Business Minor from Kansas State University. Laura started as Employment Solutions Manager in 2015. Prior to that, she was the lead Air WA Employment Navigator connected to EvCC through Worksource Snohomish.
Laura has experience in: Career coaching to veterans and at the high school level, employment navigation with adults and underrespresented populations, and teaching high school Spanish.
