Non-Credit Certificate Programs Terms
Non-credit certificate programs at Everett Community College represent programs of study in specific content areas. The certificates are designed with input from industry experts to prepare working professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in the workplace. Classes are not offered for academic credit and courses cannot be counted toward an academic degree.
Enrollment/Admission. There are no formal entry requirements or application processes for non-credit certificate programs. Students sign up via web, phone, fax, mail, or in person. Classes can be paid for on a per-class basis.
Completion requirements. Students must attend class 70% of the class sessions for each class and satisfy any additional requirements specified in the course syllabus. The certificate must be completed in 10 quarters. The 10 quarter period begins with the start date of the first class.
Awarding of Certificate. After completing all listed requirements for the certificate, the student must submit a request for certificate via email to the program administrator at email@example.com. Request must be submitted within one year of program completion.
