Canvas Help Desks are available to help all students with common questions about Canvas. If you're a student and you're having trouble with Canvas, stop by one of our three locations to get help in person from another EvCC student. Common issues we can assist with include problems logging in, resetting your Canvas PIN, and courses that you're unable to access.
Help Desks are located in the Library (Parks Student Union), outside the Tutoring Center (1st floor, Rainer), and Whitehorse Hall (2nd floor, near the west entrance).

The eLearning department at EvCC supports students and faculty in using the college's learning management system, Canvas, and in effectively using other technologies for teaching and learning. For support or questions, you can contact eLearning at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Online and hybrid courses can be an excellent choice for many students, but they aren't the best options for everyone. Before enrolling in one of these courses, you should ask yourself these questions::
- Do I have good reading and writing skills?
- Am I comfortable using a computer and the internet?
- Am I able to spend 10-15 hours every week on each course?
- Do I organize my time well?
- Am I self-motivated, goal-oriented, and disciplined?
If you answered "yes" to most of these statements, online courses may be a good option for you.
- Registration policies for online courses are the same as for on-campus courses.
- If you have not yet been admitted to the College you should submit an application for admission well in advance of the quarter you wish to start classes. - All new students should request an EvCC Student ID number from Enrollment Services. For more information, call Enrollment Services at (425) 388-9219 or visit the EvCC Enrollment Services webpage
Students receiving financial aid may use this funding to pay for online courses. Visit the EvCC Financial Aid webpage or contact the Financial Aid Office at (425) 388-9280 with any questions, prior to enrolling.
As vacancies occur in a class, the top name on the waitlist will move into the actual class. You are responsible for monitoring your waitlist status and paying for the course if enrolled. If your name is on an active waitlist for an online course, you must obtain permission from the instructor to be admitted to the course. You may either submit a printed email from the instructor to Enrollment Services, or you may ask the instructor to contact Enrollment services directly to give permission for you to be moved from the waitlist.

There are several ways to do this depending upon your situation. If one of the following does not apply to you, please contact Christie Eden in the testing center at 425-388-9088.
- Find a place near your location that offers Asset, Accuplacer, or Compass testing. You may be able to test at this location and send your scores to the Enrollment Services office.
- If you have already taken Math and English courses you may request a waiver from the Enrollment Services office.
- You may find a proctor and email Christie Eden for directions.
Your books may be purchased at the EvCC Bookstore.
Everett Community College and the eLearning department are committed to offering courses high-quality courses that make it possible for all students to learn and to succeed. In the unlikely event that you encounter a problem as a student in one of our online courses or programs, please first contact the eLearning department so that we may help you find a satisfactory resolution. Depending on the nature of the problem, we may refer you to a Dean or to the office of Instruction and Student Services.
