About the Program
Our Medical Transcription and Editing Program is an online, 43-credit certificate program utilizing state-of-the art software and text materials for the at-home training of medical transcriptionists and medical transcription editors (MT/MTEs). It is available to students anywhere with internet access, and quarterly course loads may be customized to fit individual scheduling needs. This AHDI-approved program may be entered at the start of any quarter and provides the training to obtain an entry-level position as a medical transcriptionist or editor.
The cost of the program is $4982.84 plus online fees of $107.50. Tuition is paid quarterly based on the number of credits taken. All online learning content and your foot pedal are included in the cost of the program; there is no additional expense for books. Students will need to obtain Stedman's Medical Spellchecker at an estimated cost of $80. A functional PC, access to the Internet, and Internet Explorer are necessary.
