Holly S. McFaul, Director
ELC employee since 2013
Holly has worked for 19 years as an early childhood educator with more than eleven years in administration at four other campus-based children's centers. Holly holds a master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Michigan University and 42 post-graduate credits in Early Childhood Education and Human Development from Pacific Oaks College and Oakland University. In June of 2012, she completed her Infant, Early Childhood and Family Mental Health Certificate from UW-Madison. Her areas of research interest include non-traditional families, child development from birth to three, brain development and the use of multiple intelligences and strength-based assessment in early childhood education. Holly lives Everett and is the proud mother of a University of Wisconsin-Madison undergraduate who is also a campus children’s center graduate! 

Barbara Scienski, ECEAP Coordinator & Program Supervisor
ELC employee since 1993
Barbara has a master's degree in Child Clinical Psychology from University of Warsaw. She was born and raised in Poland. Barbara is an active member of Polish Home Association in Seattle. She likes traveling, reading, movies and gardening.


Jody Nardis, ELC Administrative Assistant

Jody has worked with people and in management for 20 years. She received her bachelor's degree in Education from Eastern Washington University. Jody loves spending her time with her husband and their growing family. She enjoys exploring, country living, and outdoor activities of all kinds. 


Amie Waters, ECEAP Family Support Specialist
ELC employee since 2003 
Amie received her Certificate in Early Childhood Education from Everett Community College in 2002, and her EvCC associate's degree in 2009. She is currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Sciences program at University of Phoenix, working towards her Human Services Degree. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, reading, watching movies, walking her dogs, and shopping at secondhand stores.

Gay Thomas North, Chef
ELC employee since 2000
Gay has an associate's degree in Early Childhood Education that she received at Everett Community College. Passionate about food, she strives to encourage children to eat healthy. Born in Everett, she enjoys cooking, reading, and watching hockey with her husband and daughter.




Lynne Ramirez, Toddler Coordinator
ELC employee since 2006
Lynne has a bachelor's degree in Biology and a certificate in Early Childhood Education from Everett Community College. She has worked in the early childhood education field since 2005. Born in Dundee, Scotland, she likes to travel, go to the beach, try new things and new adventures, practice Tai Chi, and spend time with her family. She feels it is a privilege to see the world through a child's eyes.


Fatou Drammeh-Darboe, Toddler Lead Teacher

Fatou has an associate's degree from Everett Community College and more than 50  Early Childhood education. She is originally from The Gambia, West Africa. She moved to the United States more than 20 years ago, living in New Jersey for six years before moving to Washington state. Fatou is a mother of four. Outside of school, she loves to read, cook, visit with family and work with children - especially toddlers. 

Pattie Fritts, Toddler Lead Teacher

Pattie has worked with infants and toddlers for more than 24 years. She's attended Seattle University and Everett Community College, still continuing her education at EvCC by taking Early Childhood classes. Patie feels we are forever learners. She really enjoys working, playing and learning with the children. Pattie believes each child is unique and she enjoys getting to know each child's individual personality. She is thankful for having chosen Early Childhood as her profession. Pattie is married, has two daughters and has recently become a grandma. She grew up in northern California and Zweibruecken, Germany. Pattie enjoys spending time with family, reading, gardening, playing volleyball, doing service work, and traveling.

Tamara Hill, Toddler Lead Teacher
ELC employee since 2011
Tamra has taught all ages: early childhood, school-age, high-school and adult. She has a bachelor's degree in Geology with a K-12 teaching certificate. Tamra enjoys gardening, raising farm animals, cooking, and exploring all forms of art. Yoga is her latest interest and learning experience.



Megan Price, Preschool Lead Teacher

Megan has been teaching preschool for over 13 years and has an associate's degree in child development. She was born in Indiana, but considers herself a true Pacific Northwesterner, having spent the majority of her life in the Skagit Valley. She now lives in Everett with her silkie terrier, Tanner. Megan loves fiction books, action movies, sewing, cake decorating, and crafting. She is the FAVORITE auntie of 10 wild nieces and nephews. Her favorite part of being a preschool teacher is messy hugs.


Shana Litovchenko, Preschool Lead Teacher
ELC employee since 2007
Shana has completed her associate's degree from Everett Community College. Born in Ukraine, she likes to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoys children and their curiosity and open minds. Shana is fluent in Ukrainian, Russian and English. She’s had an opportunity to travel to Ukraine as well as Mexico and collect many of unforgettable memories. 


Kelly Campbell, Preschool Co-Teacher

Kelly is currently working toward getting her associate's degree in Early Childhood Education at Everett Community College and will complete her degree in June 2014. She has been teaching children in various capacities since 1990. Kelly enjoys gardening, sewing, and exploring the Pacific Northwest with her family.



Anika Tiegen, Preschool Co-Teacher

Anika is a student at Skagit Community College taking Early Childhood Education classes, working toward her associate's degree. She loves spending time with family and friends, watching Korean dramas with subtitles, and going camping.




Beth Barrett, Preschool Co-Teacher
ELC employee since 2011
Beth Barrett has an associate's degree from Edmonds Community College and more than 70 credits in early childhood education from Everett Community. She has been teaching preschool for more than 5 years. Born in Seattle, she loves to spend time gardening, hike with her family, and paint oil paintings.


Rachelle Refling, ECEAP Lead Teacher

Rachelle Refling has an associate’s degree from Everett Community College. Before she started working for the ELC as an employee, she was an ELC parent. In her spare time she likes camping, shopping at secondhand stores and listening sports talk radio…Go Seahawks!


Karen Klett, ECEAP Co-Teacher
ELC employee since 2009
Karen has been working in the Early Childhood field for the past 19 years. It is her privilege and joy to build strong relationships with the children and families she works with. Karen is married and has two children. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, bird watching, reading, and nature walks.


Sakeena Saunders, ECECAP & Preschool Co-Teacher

Sakeena’s heart and passion is to teach and educate young children. She has three children, Sojourney 14, Donnevan 6 and Geni, 3. Sakeena enjoys taking long bicycle rides, crocheting and skating.
