Transitional Studies - Basic Skills

Spring Quarter classes begin on Monday, April 3, 2017

We offer low-tuition classes for students whose basic reading, writing, and math skills are below ninth-grade level. These classes build basic skills that eventually lead to high school equivalency. All students must take a placement test to determine what level they need to begin their studies. Learn basic reading, writing and math.

Beginning in Spring Quarter, we will begin 3-Day Orientations & CASAS Assessments that you must attend in order to sign up for Transitional Studies Classes: We have SIX Sessions to choose from: Please e-mail transitional@everettcc.edu to sign up for an orientation. E-mail us your name, phone number, birthdate and SID if you have one. You may call 425-388-9339 if you prefer to sign up by phone.

The following sessions will be approximately 3 hours. Please arrive by 1:30 pm to check in. Orientation begins promptly at 2:00 pm.
Session One: March 6, 7 and 9 - This session is FULL!
Session Two: March 13, 14 and 15
Session Three: March 20, 22 and 23

The following sessions will be approximately 3 hours. Please arrive by 5:30 pm to check in. Orientation begins promptly at 6:00 pm.
Session Four: March 7, 8 and 9 - This session is FULL!
Session Five: March 13, 15 & 16
Session Six: March 20, 22 and 23

What to bring to the CASAS Assessment:

  • Current driver's license or ID card (not expired), and
  • Social Security Number (if you have one), and
  • Complete mailing address including apartment number and zip code, and
  • $25 for registration
