Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training (I-BEST)

Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training (I-BEST) pairs Adult Basic Education (ABE)/English Language Acquisition (ELA) instructors with professional-technical instructors in the classroom to provide students with literacy education and workforce skills at the same time. I-BEST challenges the traditional notion that students must first complete all levels of basic education before they can begin workforce training.

EvCC offers I-BEST programs in:

Welding Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) Business Career Pathways
Early Childhood Education Manufacturing Pre-Employment

All students must attend an orientation before registering for classes. For more information, call Dustin Levesque at 425-388-9159.

A Pathways for Advancing Careers and Education (PACE) evaluation funded by the federal government is being conducted to determine how Everett Community College helps people increase their skills and find jobs.
