Teachers at EvCC rarely post grades: and it ‘grinds my gears’

I don’t understand why teachers don’t post their grades somewhere for students to gauge their progress in the class. Whether they need to work harder, or if they are already excelling, it could alleviate some student stress.
One thing that really bothers me about the teachers that I have come in contact with is my grade has remained a mystery throughout the course.
I don’t really know about the rest of the students, but I like to know how I am doing in the courses that I am taking. I like knowing if I need to study extra hard for the final or whether I am doing ok and can relax.
During my time at WSU, some professors would post student grades online, on personal websites that they created to keep students informed. Others would post grades outside their classroom or office so students could check grades at their leisure.
I don’t think that I should have to walk to their office just to check my grade. I have a busy schedule and it’s hard for me to make time to go their office or schedule an appointment just to ask, “by the way… I just wanted to know how I was doing.”
All I’m asking is for teachers to post student grades; I personally would like to know how I am doing in my classes, especially classes that I am struggling with. Apparently, teachers cannot post grades under FERPA, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, but there has to be an easier way to keep students informed.
