Liberator shares memories

The 2006 Spring Holocaust Survivor Forum welcomed Leo Hymas, a Nazi concentration camp liberator, on April 12, as part of the Spring Holocaust Forum is part of the Humanities 150 course “Surviving the Holocaust.” (Full Story)

Is Standardized Testing for higher education?

Rumors are spreading about the possibility of expanding standardized tests into universities and colleges to monitor student learning and compare education quality between institutions, according to The New York Times.

This proposal is met with disapproval by several EvCC faculty members who believe a mandatory standardized test for colleges and universities will not be effective. (Full Story)

A cleaner campus, one can at a time

The intended arrival of new vending machines and recycling bins is on schedule- so keep an eye out.

Russ Nunes in the purchasing department said the indoor and outdoor recycling containers, along with the new vending machines should be on campus the week of May 1. (Full Story)
