Painting courses are offered day and evening covering fundamental skills while focusing on an understanding of the principles and elements of art. Technical information about color theory and the physical properties of paint, mediums, support, and tools are solidified through the supplemental use of imagery. Through the manipulation of paint, students learn how to control a composition and represent form, value, texture, and shape. Advanced courses explore personal experimentation and the development of style, skill, and expression through both traditional and contemporary approaches.
