Visual Communications

Graphic designers, illustrators, and new media designers love to look, explore, and see things in different ways. Designers have a strong desire to make the things we see and use in everyday life more beautiful. They must be able to work with traditional media and computer technology, and eager to learn throughout their lifetime.

Our Visual Communications program emphasizes creativity, problem posing, problem solving, innovative ways of thinking, and the development of graphic design experience, techniques, and verbal communication within an stimulating environment. Students develop skills in the areas of typography, publication design, advertising, web site design and management, e-commerce, illustration, business identity design, and learn to apply skills in the related fields of photography, writing, art, computer programming, and performance.
