The inHouse Design Studio is a student-operated advertising and design agency created to give students real world design experience. In the studio, students have access to printers, scanners, iMacs, Wacom tablets, digital SLR cameras and the latest in graphic design and multimedia software.
The studio itself serves many different functions. Students enrolled in Professional Projects and Studio Practice (GRA 213 or GRA 244) use the facility to work with real clients and internship programs while building their portfolios and work experience. Students of other programs, such as Business Design, Art, English, Computer Programming or Photography may also team up with design and multimedia students to collaborate on projects.
In addition, The inHouse Design Studio facilitates Vibrations Magazine, our student-run literary publication, and Poetry Northwest , a national poetry magazine produced through the Written Arts program.
While practical consideration will be given to students in the studio arts, photography, graphic design, multimedia web design, and the School of Business Design, any student in their second year of study in any program or discipline at Everett Community College who feels they can contribute and benefit from this studio experience are encouraged to enroll.
