Each year, more than 2,000 students earn free college credits through the Everett Community College's Tech Prep program. You could do the same! Tech Prep Dual Credit is a cooperative effort between K-12 schools and EvCC that allows students to earn college credits in approved high school courses. To find out if your school has a Tech Prep program, check with your counselor or you can search for your school's Tech Prep Dual Credit opportunities. We also have a brochure that may be helpful to you.
How does Tech Prep work?
Career and Technical Education classes at the high school are aligned with professional-technical courses offered at Everett Community College. The Tech Prep program creates an opportunity for students to earn high school credits toward graduation while earning college credit which may be applicable towards a degree or certificate. EvCC's Tech Prep program is accessible to all high school students and because there is no cost associated with EvCC's Tech Prep program the savings are significant.
Whether students are planning to attend college, get post-secondary training or enter the workforce after high school; career and technical education teaches strategies and activities that promote high academic performance and practical learning. Through various district level programs, Tech Prep offers students a wide range of academic and career areas, including technology, science, health and safety, communications, business and industry and the arts.
If you are unable to locate your school's Tech Prep information using the link above or you need to locate the contact person in your district, please contact EvCC's Tech Prep program at email@example.com. Remember "Stay Close ~ Go Far" with EvCC.
