Computer Information Systems
The Everett Community College Computer Information Systems Department offers one Associate of Science Transfer Degree (AS), one Associate of Applied Science Transfer Degree (AAS-T), and certificates in areas relating to the computer field. Students interested in Information Technology have several options, which are described below.
One option is to pursue the Associate of Science Degree (AS) for the purpose of preparing for transfer to a university to major in computer science. This degree enables a student to complete many of the math and science prerequisites for the major, as well as some of the general education requirements.
Another option is to pursue the Associate of Applied Science (AAS-T) for the purpose of transferring into the Central Washington University program. At the completion of that program, the student will earn a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree. This degree option can be completed at the CWU main campus, or at satellite facilities in Lynnwood, Des Moines, and Everett.
