Think critically

Students will apply concepts learned in class to differentiate between acceptable variations and errors to the dictated reports they transcribe.

Utilize information literacy skills

Students will utilize industry references and the Internet to find additional information needed to complete dictated transcription reports.

Engage and take responsibility as active learners

Students will be actively engaged in class discussions, homework, tests, and transcription of medical dictation.

Demonstrate computer and technology proficiency

 Students demonstrate proficiency by showing their ability to operate the computer and software systems required to proof and edit speech-recognized text to produce error-free medical reports.
