This cooperative program enables students who live in the Everett vicinity to apply for admission to a 21-month fulltime program in RT, including the specific RT classes and clinicals. Successful completion results in an Associate in Applied Science awarded by Bellingham Technical College. Program graduates are eligible to take the national certification exam administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Successful performance on the exam results in national certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist.

Prospective students must complete 47.5 credits (or more, depending on math placement level) BEFORE applying to the BTC Radiologic Technology program. These classes include English composition, intermediate algebra, chemistry, several biology courses, psychology and medical terminology. All science classes must be complete within 3 years of application to the program. Once an application is submitted, there may be a wait of several quarters before acceptance into the program. Students accepted into Bellingham Tech’s Radiologic Technology program will receive academic and clinical education through a variety of learning technologies. Coursework will be delivered using the Internet, CD, computer lab activities, video conferencing, radiology lab activities, and the traditional classroom. Clinical education will be provided in a variety of settings and prepare the student for work as an entry-level radiologic technologist. An accepted student can take classes and clinical either in Bellingham or in the Everett area, as well as online.
