Application Deadlines and Process
Application and admission to the Nursing Program is a separate procedure from application to the college. Students are selected for the Nursing Program each academic quarter: Fall, Winter, Spring. Only applicants who submit complete applications are considered for acceptance into the program. A Nursing File Establishment of $51 will be assessed. Students pay this fee at the Cashier's office and present the receipt with their submission of Application Part I to the Nursing Records Office. This fee is a one-time, non-refundable fee. Nursing application deadlines apply to all entering students. Applications, and all application materials, must be received (postmarked) by the close of the business day (Health Professions Service Center hours are Monday, Tuesday and Friday 8am to 5pm, Wednesday 10am to 5pm, and Thursday 8am to 4pm):
- Fall Quarter – July 5
- Winter Quarter – September 5
- Spring Quarter – January 5
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and are processed immediately following a deadline date. Please Note: If the deadline date falls on a non-school date (i.e. holiday, weekend, etc) the deadline is moved to the Friday before at 2 PM. During Summer quarter, EvCC is closed on Fridays. If the deadline falls on a Friday, the deadline will be moved to the previous business day. Please always verify office hours and availability with the Nursing Records Office.
After attending an Information Session, complete the Personal Information Form – Nursing Application Part 1 , pay the non-refundable Nursing Progam File Establishment Fee and submit the form and your fee receipt to the Nursing Records Office. This process establishes a file for you and provides a receptacle for safekeeping of your transcripts and communication with the Nursing Admissions Committee and Nursing Advisors.
By the application date, submit and complete an Intention to Enter the Nursing Program – Application Part 2 . This form provides a means for you to communicate to the Nursing Admissions Committee the efforts you have taken to prepare for admission to the Nursing Program. Both forms are required for entry into the Nursing Program.
