What's New for the Nursing Program?
New Admissions Standards
For students entering in Fall, 2012, the application deadlines have changed. In addition, all sciences must be completed prior to submitting an application for it to be considered complete. Students can be in process with their last social science/ communication general education courses, and must be able to complete all general education program requirements prior to the beginning of the program. While our students have taken the ATI TEAS test for many years, Fall, 2012 will mark the first time that this test will be used as part of the acceptance process. The TEAS test will be offered at EvCC for those students who academically qualify AND are applying to the EvCC Nursing program. Eligible applicants will receive testing details after the Part 2 application deadline. See the Nursing Curriculum Guide for specific information regarding these changes. Frequent checks to this web page are also recommended.
Clinical Sites Scrutinize Students
Beginning in 2011 and still true today, our clinical sites have become more restrictive regarding immunization compliance and background check variances. See the Nursing Curriculum Guide for more exact information about these changes.
Nursing Advising Day
For all students in need of an advising appointment, there are two ways to receive an appointment.
