EMT drillsOur EMT intensive course is is preparation for the Washington State EMT-B examination and the National Registry EMT exam. Both exams are offered at the conclusion of the training. This training exceeds the DOT 1994 curriculum.

The course includes lectures and hands-on practice of techniques, including

  • Introduction to emergency care
  • Bleeding and shock
  • soft tissue injuries
  • Environmental emergencies
  • Lifting and moving patients
  • HIV/AIDS education
  • Emergency childbirth
  • ... and much more.

Courses run for one quarter (eleven weeks) on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and all day each Saturday. 100 % attendance is required.

Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Successful applicants will be contacted and will receive permission to register. All applicants will be contacted.

A WSP Background Check, OIG (Office of Inspector General) check, and a GSA (General Services Administration) check are done on each applicant. If you have a record, contact the Washington State Department of Health at 800-458-5281 for more information.
