Global Studies

Global education provides for the study of international issues within a multidisciplinary frame work. An education that focuses on the interdependence of communities fuels your ability to contribute to important decision-making processes. This endorsement is designed as an introduction to cultural, political, and economic perspectives of processes at the global level.

Within this endorsement are three areas of concentrations:

  1. Global Citizenship Concentration
  2. Policy and Conservation Concentration
  3. Social Entrepreneurship Concentration

Each Concentration outlines a different set of courses for completion of the endorsement and is usually associated with a course of study to be pursued once the student reaches the university setting. While you might take some courses in each of the areas of Concentration, you must ultimately choose at least one Concentration to earn the endorsement. You may be able to achieve more than one Concentration if you plan your classes carefully. It is strongly suggested that you meet with a Global Studies advisor to best determine the courses that will form this educational foundation.
